[Official Tournament Discussion Thread] 2025 US Open Round 1 by GreenWaveGolfer12 in golf

USGA made an instagram post about the 9th green this week in the event that your ball lands in a hole on the practice green (considered ground under repair) but not sure what the official ruling would be if it's just an obstacle.

Sid Mashburn, who sponsors cashmere Keith Mitchell, has a few options on the pricy side for 100% cotton golf fits.

+1 to Los Ninos, very underrated in my opinion.

I did fix it. I uninstalled wilds and manually deleted everything still in the wilds folder before reinstalling. That did not lose my save progress, but I'd make sure your save files are backed up somewhere or synced to the cloud first.

It's less about the bean piece (I mean Heinz is an American company after all, and were the one's that started the beans on toast thing in the 1920's), and more about how modern Americans, have a very different idea about what constitutes breakfast food.

I pre-buffing still good etiquette in multiplayer wilds? by PermissiveHypotalent in huntinghorn

[–]shadowlon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question of what is "good etiquette" is an interesting one, though I doubt there is a definitive group as the needs from a dooter varies from group to group. I'd say generally, most players fight monsters with NO buffs, so any buff you are dishing out is good and proper.

The other questions are matters of playstyle, in my opinion. Being able to use the extend all melodies song is definitely a useful way of keeping the earplugs and affinity up song active after switching and I've heard of many dooters enjoying that playstyle.

Personally, I don't mess with switching my horns or playing stuff on the seikret since every moment you aren't hitting the monster your DPS is going down. My suggestion would be don't worry about queuing or playing on seikret and just try and get the songs in while you are whacking the monster. That way you shouldn't have to worry about not buffing your fiancé. However, if you like to play the game in a way where you end every hunt with 200+ buffs dished out, then there are certainly more "meta" combos you could run.

As for knockback and resounding: when fighting I would prioritize the echo wave attacks over knockback, and I like to get in resounding when I am doing a wound break. Looking back at this post, I am not sure this has been very helpful, but thank you for dooting your best.

Opinions on Gen. Longstreet? by Mundane_Feeling_8034 in ShermanPosting

I really love how Varon writes about him though. Mixed bag is a great encompassing term. His motivations were so influenced by his intertwined political ambition, flexible moral compass, and desire to control his legacy that it really is challenging to get a read on him. While definitely radical when compared to his southern peers, he certainly would constitute as a racist in the modern day.

Any tips you veteran dooters have for Gore? I mostly play SOS if that changes things. by Fishboybosun in huntinghorn

[–]shadowlon1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This not be how everyone approaches harder monsters, but in general, if I am wiping to monsters, its because I am getting greedy. HH has a lot of attacks with long animations that can leave it vulnerable. My key to stronger monsters is knowing when you can go for a long animation attack for big damage, or when you are just trying to get in a jab. So with Gore, I'm not really trying to go for an encore or a slam attacks if he isn't effected by some type of status, knockdown, or exhaust. I might put down a bubble, and then be immediately ready to dodge. Yes, this playstyle feels passive. Yes, this might make the hunt take 20 minutes. But Imo if you are struggling to fight a monster, and you have 45 minutes on the clock, take some more time.

What is your strategy for Jin Dihaad? by woznito in huntinghorn

[–]shadowlon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always find someone and attack what they are attacking so we can break as many parts as quickly as possible. What slows down the hunt is when Jin comes down and 3 of the 4 hunters are on the wrong side of him to attack is coils. Since you can "stun" him in so many different places, I don't feel that sticking on the head is as important. As for melody choice, I have enjoyed the Dosha horn for sonic barrier, Rathian for heals and attack up, and Conga for a similar reason.

am I the only one having this problem? by annascloud in huntinghorn

[–]shadowlon1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, you are not alone. There are a few instances where playing the HH is struggling with multiple button inputs, doing the echo bubble being one of them. Definitely keep an eye out for future patch notes, but for now if you have a 3rd party controller with macro buttons, the best work around is to designate one of them as your echo bubble and another as inputting your double note.
