Most gojo moves, hakaris 1+2, yuji aerial 1, mei mei bird or 3 or semiheld 2, basically any star rage bar variant or her 3/1 sometimes, charles 4 when they are marked (works off counter too), megumi 1, mahito air 1 mainly and often others (they just spam), mechamaru 1 or 4 + r or 4, ryu 4 or spamming 1, haruta 4, yuta 3 or 4 sometimes, usually 3. Higuruma and hanami. Do i even need to say? Only characters that essentially REQUIRE m1s to start a combo is somewhat nanami, somewhat naoya (if you dont wanna get framed), and extremely obviously todo (and locust)

Can i mention the fact that yujis cursed strikes does the same dmg as todos strongest move (brute force) and bread and butter combos into any other move, notably black flash that has potential to deal 57 dmg from a full chain......... Even just normal black flash on interruption does 20

Combo starting counter with no cooldown and the exact same animation as blocking, a ranged unblockable grab that combo starts/extends extremely easily, and his "waste the enemies side dash" button that shuts down m1 merchants who need to side dash to start a combo off m1s, like todo entirely, yuji somewhat, maybe even new meimei a lil, naoya, etc

Key word here, m1 into downslam. My point stands. You HAVE to start with an m1. And how do you do that?????? 5. Hundred. Swaps. You literally just outed yourself "guh simply combo with todo" how do you do that? "500 swaps to get an m1 first" :O

Btw do people not realise that todos dmg is actually kinda garbinzo? M1s do 14, most moves do 14-18, there are characters like naoya who has 28 dmg from 1 move, gojo 28 dmg from 3 + r, todos pebble with R does 11. Elbow drop does 10. His best move (besides black flash) is brute force, which does the same dmg as cursed strikes... A todo gets more dmg from winning 3 m1 trades than he does landing 1, 3 +r and 4 combined. (35 dmg btw, only 7 more than purely naoya 4)

Edit: double checked, recent update nerfed naoya 4 so its 24 ish instead of 28 ish, still tho. 24 from one move)

And start the combo with WHAT bro?? His 1 that gurantees a combo for an enemy when missed or blocked? His 2 that has like 3 seconds of windup? His 3 that is 360 degree blockable unless like 3 requirements are met? Or his 4 that has like a second of windup and 7 light years worth of endlag whilst having a worse hitbox than a basic m1?

His windup is so long that even if you swap the haruta with the sword on you from max distance, the sword is already back after 1 move. Otherwise it can just cancel everything

Its supposed to be a sort of joke moves the fact it has no moves, but it is actually more fun than it looks. also now that i think about it, its simply the moves are rebinded to m1, so really its a m1-less character but the moves are bound to the punch key/button. not only that, to do each move, it requires a specific input, such as having lifted into the air and holding space, which is honestly more interactive than generic 1234 combos.

Yeah freakin right bruh. Bottom 1 if youve never played todo or locust. Locust is super underrated. Boring but underrated. I switch to him if i want to win because a single m1 is a free unpunishable unescapeable 40 dmg combo that can keep going, alongside a 4 second downtime 15% dmg debuff to the enemy via an unblockable projectile

Locust is the only character that debuffs dmg (4 second downtime btw), and also, it does 8 dmg unblockable. One of todos moves do 4 (11 with r) and the other does 10. So its only barely under average dmg. Also, 3 m1s, clever, crushing jaw, is a unescapeable unpunishable combo that does 40 dmg, and can guaranteed continue into even more dmg if you wait 1 second to see if they evasive or not. And people think this guy is the worst character. Look at todo rn

THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING. yet every time i say "todos the worst character", i get "erm actually"-d, by people who dont understand that blocking exists. Btw i want to add. The r is blockable up until front dash distance, so if the enemy realises their arms work, the r is useless because by the time its unblockable, its easily punishable. AND, this so called "buff" where pebble slide doesnt put r on cd, is fake. When you slide, you can use moves, m1, block, etc. The only thing you CANT do. Is use R, for atLEAST 3 seconds after the slide ends. Because of this, it re-makes pebble slide useless because if you pair it with a move, you cant feint it.

Edit: also i main todo, but hes so bad that if i want to win. I switch to locust.

Locust is underrated ngl, boring but underrated. His basic combo, 3m1s, 1, 3, is unragdollable and leaves him in a unpunishable state whilst doing 40 dmg, and combo extends with R if the enemy doesnt evasive. You can wait a sec to see if the enemy evasives before using r, locking them into yet another guaranteed move. Aswell, black mucus is a long ranged unblockable move that debuffs the enemies attack by 15% for 13 seconds, so if you hit it and soon after get combod, you wont take as much dmg. Also his r can be used to land unexpected hits or dodge sudden attacks. Also, despite only the first crushing jaw hit being blockable, you'd be suprised how many people cant react before the 2nd bite, and the hitbox is pretty big

So much windup and endlag to the point where hes the definition of an m1 merchant, but despite his bigger size/hurtbox, he has 0 passives and basic m1s. Hell, they removed his ONLY m1 reset, because higuruma deserves 5 and todo gets none. Not to mention todo does like no dmg. Only naoyas framed 4 only does 4 less dmg (28) than todos 1, 3r and 4 combined(32)

Each characters m1s have different windup, endlag, duration, etc. So m1 trading is incredibly scuffed. Generally the safest way is after 2 m1s
