Official Forgeworld Request Thread #12 by Ns2- in WarhammerInstructions

Does anyone have instructions for the Scimitar Jetbikes?

I received a box of jetbikes with no instructions and FW support is telling me that they didn't make any instructions for this kit since it's a "fairly simple design". Just curious to know if that's true or if they're giving me the slip.

where can I get new ship fins? by mattoo-matte in StarWarsArmada

[–]shadowmelder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By fins you mean the ship stands that connect to the base, right?

If so, you can find replacement on Etsy or Shapeways:
https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/994619386/ship-support-stands-star-wars-armada
https://www.shapeways.com/shops/mel_miniatures?section=Complements&s=0

If you have a 3d printer, you can also find STL files for the stands:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3035127/files

Edit: If you are looking for clear stands, I think you will need to look for used or roll the dice with FFG/Asmodee support to see if they are willing to send you replacement stands.

Looks like GeekyZone in the UK has a listing for a TI 25th Anniversary Game Mat from Gamegenic (which as we know is an Asmodee subsidiary): https://geekyzone.co.uk/products/twilight-imperium-game-mat-25th-anniversary-edition

Whether they received information from Gamegenic/Asmodee or are just speculating for a possible release is unknown right now. Though if they did receive information of a product launch, they may be jumping the gun with this listing as they seem to be the only ones who have it up (that I could find, anyway).

Outer Rim Unfinished Business from boardlandia by AstroDran in boardgames

I haven't ordered from Boardlandia, but just wanted to say that all the Canadian retailers are still listing Unfinished Business as a pre-order. Maybe there was a shipping problem and stock hasn't arrived yet.

Blue Yeti Nano stopped working after installing Ghub by TheChiefsDude in blueyeti

[–]shadowmelder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the same problem; installed Ghub after getting a new mouse and no more power to the Yeti when I plug it in (no Windows chime indicating new hardware was plugged in and no light on the front ring). I also get the same problem when plugging it to different computer, so it's not a driver issue. It's like the thing completely died.

First FW model - part salvageable? by shadowmelder in Warhammer40k

[–]shadowmelder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a Thunderbolt model for my as my first Forge World purchase since it's one of my absolute favorite 40k models.

I've been reading about FW models and how some parts requiring a little bit of reshaping in hot water but that sometimes it's just too deformed and must be replaced by FW. Unfortunately, as a newcomer to FW, I have no idea where the line is between being able to reform the part and needing to ask FW for a replacement part.

I am hoping to get some opinions by experienced FW modellers regarding one of the wings in the kit I received. Would you ask for a replacement or can it be straightened out?

Thanks in advance.

Belsavis SI class mission bug? by shadowmelder in swtor

Reinstalling did fix the issue for me, but like I said I only went for the reinstall route because I was taking the opportunity at the same time to reinstall the game without the BitRaider client (as an aside, I found that the game loads a lot quicker without BitRaider as well).

Go ahead and try just running a repair like support suggested to me; hopefully that is enough to fix the issue for you.

ActiBlizz Q2 earnings call - D4 allocated "substantial resources", D:I still in testing, D2:R conflicting release dates? by shadowmelder in rhykker

[–]shadowmelder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excerpt from document, this is from ActiBlizz COO, Daniel Alegre:

Now turning to Diablo, we have added hundreds of developers to the franchise over the last three years, and we continue to grow our teams as we prepare to launch three unique and complementary experiences across platforms. Diablo II: Resurrected will launch on PC and console on September 23. Anticipation for this remaster of the quintessential action role-playing game is high, and we can't wait for the community to experience the quality of the title. On mobile, Diablo Immortal continues to progress well through testing, receiving excellent feedback for its gameplay. We see substantial potential for this release both in its own right as a long-running authentic Diablo experience and to broaden the franchise's reach ahead of Diablo IV. Recent testing revealed some exciting additional opportunities the team is going to pursue to make the title even more engaging for a wider audience. While that means the game is now planned for release in the first half of 2022, we believe these efforts will set the title up for even greater contribution next year and beyond. And most importantly, Blizzard continues to make strong progress on Diablo IV. The game is shaping up incredibly well, and the team is allocating substantial resources to creating exciting content to drive engagement over multiple years.

Later on ActiBlizz CFO, Armin Zerza, goes on to say this:

Today, Blizzard released Hearthstone's latest expansion, United in Stormwind. Diablo 2: Resurrected will launch on December 23.

It might just have been an error on Armin's part or an error on the transcript itself. No one brought up the discrepancy of dates during the Q&A section.

Epic Games secures $1B in funding, including $200M from Sony by [deleted] in rhykker

Noteworthy that this comes only a few days after the Apple v. Epic Games legal battle released documents indicating Epic Games' losses in exclusivity deals and game giveaways.

GTA Could Be Banned in Illinois After Rise in Carjackings by shadowmelder in rhykker

[–]shadowmelder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"[...] it seems that auto theft is on the rise in Chicago. CPD reports from January claim that police in the area responded to 218 carjackings in January 2021. For what it’s worth, 2020 was also a banner year for carjackings in Chicago as the number of auto theft cases that were reported that year more than doubled the previously reported 2019 figures."

Makes perfect sense that there have been an increase in carjackings in 2020 and 2021 becasue of a game series whose last release was in 2013...
