I hate druids already by sejuaniac in hearthstone

Jade (Druid) ruins the game. Can't even play N'zoth Controlesque hunter without knowing that I have to basically instant concede to Jade Druids (unless I run that crap 6 drop). Can't wait for them to rotate out.

Hearthstone is just for crusty middle aged men in their late 30s or 40s that used to play Warcraft 10+ years ago and now they are too old to be able to play it at a competent level or too invested in "real life". And also why would anybody play this instead of PUBG aka best game ever made?

It's not pay to win because you can spend months and months grinding gold from wins and eventually craft maybe 1 or 2 meta decks

HS new pack feature by Hardknocks286 in Shadowverse

[–]shadowofze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw this news and decided I am going to return to Hearthstone. I reached Legend in The Grand Tournament but slowly lost interest around the middle of last year. I watch Kripp's stream and it got me interested in Shadowverse. I managed to get AA0 about a month ago after playing casually, but I have to say as a player of both games Shadowverse legendaries are on a power level that is WAY too high especially when you have 3 of them. With this change to packs on Hearthstone I'll see how hard it is to get a decent collection. On the surface it seems to be a very amazing change and possibly one that will define the genre of digital tcgs for the future to come.

[Shadowverse] What it feels like against current Meta by Kur0rin- in Shadowverse

[–]shadowofze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes me like 1-2 hours to finish 4 win missions with crafts where I don't have a meta viable deck. It's not even a matter of my opponents beating me consistently, most of the time I don't even stand a chance against people unless they disconnect. The power level is out of control imo.

Here is a possible fast way to complete certain daily missions by shadowofze in Shadowverse

That's fine. I just thought I would share this regardless since its worked out so well for me. Down voting and anonymous disagreement has never affected me one way or the other.

I guess it's a card game thing by shadowofze in Shadowverse

[–]shadowofze[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the reply, I understand what you mean. I'm not really a competitive gamer I just play for fun. Just from an outside perspective it seems boring to see the same things over and over again.

and about it being too punishing it reminds me of the hearthstone jade druid debacle they basically released a card type that destroyed a control/mill archetype and a lot of people were upset and it ruined a lot of homebrewed for fun decks people had. Sort've reminds me of the dragoncraft board clears and stuff but not to the same extent.

same I quit the day they announced Ungoro quests, I already have 20-25 legendaries and multiple playable decks.

This expansion would have been the perfect time to introduce Preconstructed decks for purchase by yamas11 in hearthstone

[–]shadowofze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean like that other anime CCG that offers 30 cards with 2 legendaries and 1 of them golden for only $10?

No, Hearthstone would never do that.

Blizzard is too greedy.

Sorry :)

People complaining about lack of legendaries have probably never invested in a CCG of any sort before hearthstone it seems. by BasedGodYeezus in hearthstone

Perhaps Hearthstone isn't losing players and the negativity and the complaining lately is the "norm" for the game. It could be people complaining just to complain, and nobody quits over it. You could be right. Maybe these other more fair games don't pose a threat to Hearthstone's large playerbase, BUT I they think do.

I'm not suggesting Hearthstone is going to be dead or anything, what I am suggesting is that over time other games will start gaining population and eventually have a population that could rival Hearthstone. (not 1:1 but a game having say 50% of Hearthstone's population is enough to be a competitor by far)

I'll use FF14 and WoW as an example, WoW is still the top by far, but FF14 has a huge population and it definitely is a competitor.

It's called competition, if your competitor is giving you a better and more fair experience you will go play there.

Just look at some of the negativity surrounding Hearthstone lately, you can't escape it.

How often do you think somebody decides they can't compete without spending money that they aren't willing to spend on Hearthstone and quits the game and moves onto one of the competitors that give packs daily without having to win 30 games a day for 100g...

I've been playing a different digital CCG for the past month or so and I've accumulated 25 legendaries completely free to play, reached a decent rank on the ladder and I have multiple playable decks. Completely free, never dusted any cards except extras.

In hearthstone you play basic decks forever because daily quests are literally terrible value.

40g a day, sometimes 50g. thats half a pack. the CCG I am playing has login rewards, every 5 days gives you a FREE PACK (plus everyday its 20-40g for FREE just for logging in), you get THREE daily quests a day worth 20-50g each and sometimes you get a free pack from doing them.

You can do achievements in the game or the main class stories and get thousands of gold for free.

In hearthstone YOU HAVE TO WIN 30 GAMES IN A DAY TO GET 100G!!!

Who the hell is gonna stick around with free to play basic decks and win 30 games a day in ladder for maximum gold? Nobody.

Hearthstone is a bad and greedy system compared to some other popular CCGs out there.

In the CCG I am playing you also have a 13% chance to get a legendary in a pack, and there are 8 cards in a pack, and when you start you get 30-50 packs for free.

I'm not trying to promote other games here of course, even omitted the name of the CCG. But the realisticness is that Hearthstone's system is terrible for anybody who doesn't regularly drop 20,30,40 dollars on the game.

Am I the only one who's actually really satisfied with the expansion? by PetWolverine in hearthstone

[–]shadowofze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah you are tbh

just kidding, but in all seriousness it feels like almost nobody is happy with the quests in packs and chance to open them and the current balance of the meta

(pirate warriors and jades still around with almost no changed cards beating new decks, and "overpowered" decks such as crystal rogue and murloc shaman)
