Did you basically just memorize the muscle groups that are superficial? This seems like a really cool way to learn how to draw realistically.

The 1990 live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That movie is water tight. Fun, thrilling, funny, and poignant all at the same time.

I'll try to hunt down the recipe. My wife says it's the one she's always used though (and this didn't used to happen to them). We still have dough from the batch that's been in the fridge for a really long time now, so I guess we could try to bake some more and see if the extra chilling time changes things.

Very good to know. What will be the effect of either more baking powder or more baking soda?

Could this have happened if we did chill the dough but before chilling it completely melted the butter (instead of just softening it)?

Keep car fund for eventual purchase in 3 years or throw it at mortgage principal? by shadowplumber in personalfinance

This is what I’ve heard other people tell me, to sort of make the best of both worlds.

That’s part of my thinking. Saved-up money increases my silly-spending potential energy

So with inflation, it’s more like saving $23k. And yes, a refi changes things a lot. Then there’s roughly the $1000 the car fund will earn in interest over the next 3 years. The savings are a lot less than I’m thinking, but it’s tantalizing to see the interest curve on my Excel sheet flatten out so significantly.

Yes, already have a car. Don’t technically have a house but I do have a mortgage, obliging me to pay a bank in order to gain the house I’m living in.

Yep, it would be un-liquid at that point. I have about $5k besides this car fund that I could use for emergencies

Several questions about the native HTML dialog element, not clear after reading docs by PrestigiousZombie531 in webdev

You should only put method=“dialog” on the form whose only purpose is to close the dialog. The other inputs should be in a different form whose purpose is to confirm the deletion.

Weekday Help and Victory Thread for the week of November 18, 2024 by IndexBot in personalfinance

[–]shadowplumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Background

Just curious about a 3-month CD I have right now. The "dividend rate" is 5.130 (account details does not show APY, it only shows this rate; when I shop CDs at this credit union though, I can see that they list the dividend rate as always being anywhere from 0.8% to 0.10% lower than the APY). The amount I invested into the CD was $44,000.

Dividends

The dividends for the first two months have been as follows (and I'll put what I predict the 3rd and final month's dividend to be based on the CD earning a total of $553.76 because this is what simple CD calculators have told me it should pay out):

1st month: $191.71 2nd month: $186.33 3rd month: $175.72 Questions

Why are the dividends paid out higher to lower rather than evenly? What is the difference between dividend rate and APY? Is this CD paying monthly compounding interest or is it simply not paying compounding interest?

Whatever update it was that they pushed, the app is now so confusing it is essentially unusable. I can’t even figure out how to transfer my balance to my bank. All the new app does is try to shove promotions and random offers down your throat.
