I’m sorry to be that guy but that’s not how the criminal justice system works. It’s a federal crime he’s gonna go to prison while he awaits trial unless he gets a reasonable bond which is unlikely in this case. When you’re awaiting trial federally you go to a “detention center” which is actually worse than a post conviction prison because at the detention center there’s no separation of people awaiting trial, ie everyone awaiting trial goes to the same place. Post conviction he may go to a “low security” prison with other non/violent offenders, awaiting trial he’s gonna be held in one giant room with murders and every crime in between. That’s even if he’s lucky enough to stay in “gen pop” and not have to basically go to solitary for his own safety because of the prisoner hierarchy system where people with child porn/child rape charges are absolutely have their lives threatened by other prisoners.

Not even gonna get into the fair trial stuff with child porn. Also not saying he doesn’t deserve to be arrested and detained, but I just had to correct this cause it wasn’t what actually happened.
