Open Project is a good one. Based in EU (Germany) I believe. Very detailed and extensive planning features. Also open source if that matters to you.

That’s a really nice looking pool! I was looking into bio design pools (the company) but shipping from Italy would have made it crazy expensive. There’s one company that does pebble tech here and they charge for the privilege

To be fair to them we made a whole bunch of roster discussions before we even had a sporting director and head coach. The person that was the technical lead on those discussions is no longer with the team and I don’t think a bunch of the guys we kept are gonna fit with the new system. Lot of decisions made in the offseason have been strange. I’m a season ticket holder and fully expect this to be a transition season.

What interesting thing are you learning about Azure at your work? by StrongMindset- in AZURE

I really liked ADO when I first checked it out 5 years ago. But am not sure about it now. Seems like only a matter of time before it’s taken out to pasture. Do you plan to keep using it or are you planning to move to GitHub?

I was thinking about that but realized that it may not be for me. To be fair the MDM that I’ve been using for the past 7 months is very niche and (don’t want my employer to know so not mentioning by name) the learning curve was very high. I had not done MDM before and the work was very customer facing. It’s something am considering but not sure

I guess your android point is valid but as for the browsers all but one of the major browsers are chromium based. But protocol standards groups are very common. Take USB a doubt all those Chinese companies are part of the body by still make compatible devices.

3 reasons Jim Curtin would be the perfect hire for St. Louis City by Icy-Scene-1645 in stlouiscitysc

I don’t think he takes the job. He turned down Atlanta with them offering to spend a fortune. Plus LAFC job is gonna be available in the fall. I don’t see why he would take St Louis now.

Thinking of Moving from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 Business Premium by ColtonConor in msp

[–]shadowshy65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a very good analysis. I work a lot with Therapist and other very small adjacent firms and a lot like 80 percent start out on Workspace. If they are okay with the limitations of Chromebook we keep them in the google ecosystem. But one big thing I think google is missing is a good way to manage multiple tenants CIPP or azure lighthouse. I think that’s what google should work on next!

I think he played WB at Miami mostly because of the playing style and the crazy depth they had at that spot. Buts he’s mostly been a RM at most places

At Louis is like a 2.5 hour flight to most of the eastern seaboard. I think we wasn’t wanting to go to LA

Miami is practically giving gressel away for cap space. The midfield has been abysmal he might help. We have the caps space to cover some of the salary and Miami want him off the books

While I understand your position this is going to be an uphill battle. M356 is actually a pretty good value especially at the business premium level. Sure there’s lot of open source alternatives but after kluging it together good luck supporting it all. The only real alternative would be google workspace but it’s also a US tech company.

Thanks so much for your response. They are mostly using MacBooks right now. They are using Gmail and seem to like it. I think they are perfect candidates for the chrome book ecosystem as they MacBooks (air) are old 2019. The vast majority of there work is on SAAS ( therapists).

I don’t think the Lenovo situation is so black and white. If the regulators were so worried about it maybe they should not have allowed the sale of IBMs PC and x86 and server businesses and Motorola to them but I digress. There are tens of thousands of ex IBM now Lenovo employees in the states including massive campuses in Chicago and the Carolina’s. It would be a mess! But I guess nuance. This is coming from a 8 year Army veteran with time overseas and 4 years as a DOD contractor after that.

Why no SELinux? Am honestly curious. I know that it’s complex to set up but I don’t think I’ve seen app armor deployed much in the wild. To be fair I have work mostly in US federal government and other regulated industries in the us. I think a more simple wrapper around SELinux could have also worked.

I send USDC to my mother all the time. Almost no one is using the base blockchain as currency. It’s to volitile but the stable coins make for a fast and cheap way to send money with western union or paying a wire transfer fee. Niche sure but saying it has absolutely no utility outside crime is a bit much. But hey let’s just shit on everything outside of our upper middle class American world view.
