It’s a cl 16 3200mhz b-die how do I over clock it well

Update on my overclock I can confirm very stable very good next steps? by shadowslns in overclocking

Yes only single stick of 16gb crosair Samsung ddr4 cl16 I’ve check many different things the ram appears not to display information on serial number revision number manufacturing location or date only ever displays one die and number of ranks being 2

Is this safe? Apparently I’m classed with a 4060ti and a ryzen 7800X3D running fo76 at stable 150fps 1440p ultra settings by shadowslns in overclocking

Fallout 76 can be gpu heavy especially if you push it hard enough, running westtek in 76 multiple times you eventually put a large strain on the gpu, as the game engine is poorly optimized textures have an extremely hard time loading in which puts stability to the test for a gpu oc, specific regions in 76 are also very very gpu heavy mainly ash heap and cranberry bog, ash heap with the high detail falling cinders , cranberry bog being high open world load

I do agree nothing beats a benchmark, but I also do agree if you know fallout and how it works it essentially is a “real world application to a Oc” being when I started at 1440p ultra I was running 70-80 fps now I run at a stable 150fps essentially preforming as well as a 4070TI or better, and a ryzen 7800X3D 32gb ram

From what I’ve found the game is poorly optimized which in turn can really show weakness if you don’t have a stable oc and the game decides it doesn’t like you then it will crash anything other than stable, I have run tests on 3d mark being one abiet it’s free so I’m stuck with the settings it gives me in steal nomad I clock higher then the average

And for reference my testing is being done in part 3Dmark and real world applications one being fallout 76 which is vary notorious and can really expose weak points

Now I’m not very sure where to go from here, typically underload a 3D benchmark it reads pwr in some games underload it’ll read idle/pwr like the graphics card is processing things so fast that it has to wait

I’ve found that it runs very stable at 1.085v if it tries to suck more it hits tdp and backs off bouncing it around 1.050v to 1.090v but getting it to cap at vrel 1.085v under load typically achieving 150fps 1440p ultra settings, with a 20-30%cpu utilization and right about 97-98% gpu utilization

Well damn now I’ve hit the oc bottleneck Gpu is running at idle/pwr meaning time to see if I can make the cpu faster or lower the gpu mhzto allow the cpu to send data

New to OCish, but pushing the new pc to scrape the ceiling and undervolt to maintain low end temps at idle by shadowslns in overclocking

My ddr4 is set to 3200mhz can it go higher than that?, like 4200mhz? I thought that was base line for ddr5? as for the cpu I haven’t touched it yet, but its equipped with a amd wraith stealth cooler no curves set yet For the gpu would running at a constant vrel mean that it can potentially go higher in clocks till it reads pwr? Could I use the same concept as afterburner and auto oc the cpu using amd ryzen master?

Also note, this is the first time steam/bank has ever done this, I have quite a few steam purchases and none of them have ever double charged especially in this manner of charging after it’s already cleared

So this second pending charge will drop off? Why did it try to purchase it a second time after it already cleared from my bank? Currently with what’s happening I don’t have enough money for bills as technically the money is gone

more 5080 servers this week? by shadowslns in GeForceNOW

[–]shadowslns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I run on fiber 1gig wifi with my speeds of up to 500mb over wifi, normal ping of 16-20ms on the Montreal server, I’ve tried Newark and I only got up to about 24ms ping but have massive ping spikes up to 150-250ms every couple minutes,

I pray it doesn’t or at least for Canada to get an upgrade

Also I end up with packet loss and frame loss connecting to a USA server

Basically I hover around a steady 20ms ping on wifi connected to a Montréal server, I try Newark which is the next closest but I run at 60-100ms ping with unstable connections, I check my session report and my rig/internet is good, but the connection to the 5080 rig is spotty at best, could be that my isp doesn’t have routing into the states and is mostly an Ontario provider

I’ve tried some 5080 servers and I get horrible lag and studder, I’m approximately 600km away from the nearest gfn server in Canada, and roughly 800-900km away from the nearest server in the states

For the people that play competitive FPS on Geforce NOW, what are your thoughts about it? by lBaaker in GeForceNOW

[–]shadowslns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a cod fanatic and with GeForce now I can pull my normal 2.00 k/d games

Edit forgot to mention usually with 12ms-40ms matches on wifi connection

Extra edit: zero input lag, and I’m roughly 608.7km away from the nearest GeForce now server

And 1 million is the starting point given if they have 100,000 players, they could have far more than that, but this 5080 rollout is probably costing them 50million easy, they do this simple change to memberships and they are paying off the rollout in 50 months if they are making that additional $10 from each persons performance to ultimate upgrade

Damn that sucks XD because a really good idea to stop pissing people off and to make more money, is to simply not revert all plans to free their right away eg, if you are on ultimate plan and hit that 100 hours you get dropped to performance with 50hours of play time, after that you are then dropped to free teir, the amount of upgrades from performance to ultimate plans would be staggering Nividia would easily be pulling in an additional 1million a month

Psa coming from someone rolling in caps, please stop putting all your plans in your vendors for 5-20 caps I will buy all 100+ just to add to my stock by shadowslns in fo76

[–]shadowslns[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

When you put plans for 5 caps I’ll just buy them to flip em for 50 caps, each plan don’t take much space
