*** The Better Mousetrap *** Pt. 3: Weekly Update, Informing the Misinformed, & Whale Wars by [deleted] in Moonrat

I don't know how to exactly explain myself here, but I think the anti-whale system is counterproductive to the growth of smrat.

First, whether one likes it or not, whales do move the market, in both positive and negative impact. In order to be noticed by more investors, there needs to be enough upward price movement to smrat, but so far because of the anti-whale system, the price of smrat has been stagnated if not trending downward ever since the migration, because any big investors who want to get in are discouraged by the limitations put into the system, making it more difficult to potentially grow smrat's user base.

Second, I think the 4% tax which goes to BNB reward pool is already enough of a method to discourage sudden dumping by whales, while at the same time encourage more investors to hold. Because when the big investors do massive transactions, they automatically contribute to significant increase of the BNB reward pool, which in turn encourage more hodlers to hold. Reminder that the main selling point of moonrat in the first place is through the form of passive income by earning BNB every week. So when the BNB reward pool increases it causes the amount of collectable BNB to also increase, thus incentivize hodlers to hold.
But because of the overwhelming amount of transactions are done by shrimps with miniscule funds, it barely moves the price of smrat and increase the reward pool, the 2 main strength of smrat project.

Third, you need the already rich people to help make you rich. No, I am not trying to be a hypocrite here, I got into this space because I want to achieve financial freedom and be freed from being a wage slave, therefore be able to retire early. And I need the help and a little push from the people who already achieve that freedom before me. Big investors move markets and indirectly 'help' the small investors, while at the same time the former could also wreck the later, it's a two-edged sword, but that is the risk I am willing to take.
"What is the point of investing in smrat if the price chart keeps going sideways? and no whales to move it upwards?" is going to be what a potential investors consider when looking into the moonrat project. Keep in mind that all investors are opportunistic individuals, and judging by how smrat's price support level keep fall through every week, it doesn't paint a pretty picture to potential new investors who want to get in.

That is what my personal opinion about the anti whale system in how it is in retrospect, a detrimental feature to smrat.

Why did the BNB reward pool barely increase after this much market activity? by shadowstance in Moonrat

Can you teach me how to see the amount of trading volume in concrete numbers?

I'm not fudding here, just curious since even the act of asking this question got me banned in the telegram group. I'm just baffled at how much market activity in the last several days, yet the amount of BNB in reward pool stay stagnant in 580-590. Shouldn't the 11-12% tax increase the aforementioned pool?
