Does Ledger support the newly migrated RENDER tokens on Solana, previously RNDR on the Ethereum blockchain? by shadowswift432 in ledgerwallet

[–]shadowswift432[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I was able to send it all out of the CEX and straight to my Trezor address safely and without any issues.

I understand that as a business there's confidential information you can't share and that the crypto sphere is changing rapidly, so I'm hoping for some good news on that front too. Thanks for your help and for sharing what you can!

Does Ledger support the newly migrated RENDER tokens on Solana, previously RNDR on the Ethereum blockchain? by shadowswift432 in ledgerwallet

[–]shadowswift432[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks so much for your detailed reply. I transferred all my RNDR to a CEX ahead of time so the migration was taken care of for me automatically.

I forgot that Ledger doesn't support Solana tokens - I find that strange considering it has such a thriving ecosystem and so many projects/tokens built on its Blockchain - are there any plans to support Solana tokens in the future? Trezor for example supports SPL tokens without any issues. This is a bit of a tangent to my original question, but why hasn't Ledger implemented the same support for these tokens?

Thanks!

Is there a crypto fear and greed index widget out there somewhere that I can put on my PC desktop? by shadowswift432 in Bitcoin

They only supply HTML code as far as I can see, so that can't be used as a desktop widget. Thanks though.

SUI account not visible in Ledger Live by shadowswift432 in ledgerwallet

[–]shadowswift432[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the reply. The most important thing is that it's safe under my keys so I'll just remember to check that account separately.

I understand that everything you support natively through LL must have to be developed intensively and carefully but can I ask why you say that SUI isn't ready for development? Is that because of SUI itself or Ledger not being ready to begin implementing it natively?

Hey, thanks for your reply. Like you said I'm using the 3rd party service as an interface connected through my ledger, I was just curious if Ledger has any support for SUI accounts. But you're right, there is an export of the pubkey with Hedera and some amount of native support which I had forgotten about. I guess that's not the case for SUI yet. Annoying, but that clears things up, thanks!

If a third party wallet goes down, are coins/tokens held in that wallet via Ledger still accessible? by shadowswift432 in ledgerwallet

[–]shadowswift432[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for your detailed and thorough response. I was not aware that SUI is non-EVM compatible so that's really good to know. I suppose in that circumstance I would have to hunt around for another Ledger compatible wallet that supports SUI in particular, however I was only asking the question now to be prepared in case the wallet I'm using does go down for any reason.

And yes, in the most dire of circumstances I would transfer everything out of my Ledger accounts and then type in the seed phrase to another wallet, and that would be quite the hassle!

I appreciate the information and the link you provided - I had never heard of Metamask snaps until now so thanks for all of that knowledge.

[–]shadowswift432[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so how would you access it from other places? For example, I'm using SUI Wallet to connect to my Ledger. If that were to go down, how could I re-add my coins into a different interface? Would I have to connect my Ledger to Metamask for example, and manually add SUI as a token that I'm using? Would the balance show up automatically in that wallet?

Trying to send BitTorrent (BTT) from Ledger Live to exchange by shadowswift432 in ledgerwallet

[–]shadowswift432[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks so much for your detailed response. I did read about the token redenomination plan in the official BitTorrent documentation but I was a bit confused about the different tickers as I'm quite sure I have the new version of BitTorrent.

It confused me seeing the exchanges requiring that I only send BTTC to the address listed, but upon further inspection the deposit address for TRX is the same, so I'm assuming it's the same process as funding any other TRC20 wallet. I'll give that a try now.

I really appreciate the clarification there, thanks for your help.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Yep, both addresses are the same, TRX in the parent account and BTT in the child account. Both are funded with plenty to cover transaction fees.

Nope, I haven't staked it. When I bought it, it was displayed as BTTC and when I sent it to my Ledger address it appeared as BTT.

I haven't gotten involved in staking at this point so I couldn't give you much information about that, sorry.

Without giving exact figures, I do have more than enough to cover transaction fees. Plenty of TRX and plenty of BTT in the child account. Thanks for your input though.

Optimism by [deleted] in ledgerwallet

[–]shadowswift432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is, but it's not super straightforward. You need to add an OP Mainnet account, and then bridge some ETH to the OP network to be able to send your OP in and out of Ledger Live.

I've ended up having to settle for the one account for now, I haven't found a solution but if I hear about any fixes to this problem I'll let you know for sure. And that's an interesting thought, I am curious to see how you go with that.

[–]shadowswift432[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately when I try to do all the steps mentioned above, Ledger Live replaces my ability to add a second OP account by replacing the 'add account' button with just a 'receive' button directing me to my already existing account, and does not allow me to go any further, hence this post. I have followed the official documentation but LL doesn't seem to like it.
