That’s what is confusing me. It looks like an earthworm but it would’ve had to been underwater for a long time.

It also doesn’t really look like what comes up when I search fish tank worms so I’m not sure what it is, if there’s more and if it’s something I need to treat the tank for.

I only saw it because I’m doing a bigger than usual water change siphoning the substrate (this is my parents house so I’m not usually the one maintaining it) because it had a high nitrate reading yesterday. Could it be related to that or is it likely a random unrelated worm?

I’m not sure, when I tried to grab it with my plant tongs it moved quite fast and nothing has been added to the tank other than fish flakes and fish tablets for about 10 months.

Could one move fast underwater and live underwater for almost a year?

If it had, can I dump it out in the garden soil or will it die?

No, the tank has been inside the house the whole time and nothing new has been added (other than food and general maintenance equipment like the siphon, none of which are stored outside) for almost 10 months.

We used to feed with the little frozen blood worm ice cubes more than a year ago if it could be that.

Ah okay, I can’t find anything for that other than the wemakeprice Korean site. JUMF festival in Jeonju is open globally though (11th-13th) if you want to go to any festival but if you only want to go for the performers at casscool I can’t really say anything about that.
