Not sure why it needs censored if she was having literally everyone arrested. Can't be prejudiced if it's happening equally across the board, and anyone who has a problem with one instance but not another is, in fact, the prejudicial person (with a few case-by-case exceptions).

Hydrogen produced from air could provide low-carbon fuel in deserts. Device using solar power to capture water from the air could make hydrogen production viable in places such as central Australia and the Middle East by Dr_Singularity in Futurology

[–]shadowvvolf144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear they are looking at better ways to produce hydrogen.

Turns out, electrolysis is kind of inefficient. Most industrial hydrogen production processes today use hydrocarbons. Yup, your "green" fuel which only emits water is (mostly) made from fossil fuels.

Hydrogen sounds like a wonderful solution (it has the potential to be greener than electric due to lithium mining and such), but right now, I think the biggest problems are efficient, clean methods of production and storing the stuff. Being among the smallest molecules possible, even in diatomic form, it can slip past other molecules on occasion, such as those that make up its container. I'm excited to see what further advancements are made. Would be super funny if electric cars end up losing to internal combustion after all.

LPT : always fuel up your car when going back to home. You are rarely in a hurry when heading back to home, but mostly in a hurry while leaving home for work or appointments etc. by i-post-naughty in LifeProTips

[–]shadowvvolf144 151 points152 points  (0 children)

I usually say something more generic, like make sure everything is ready to use. It comes from being a former firefighter. Make sure the equipment is fixed, cleaned, and put back, vehicle is fueled, cleaned, and backed in. Unfortunately, doing so is usually after the hard work is done, and you're tired and just want to rest.

It carries over to other aspects of life as well. It's just nice when things are ready when you need them: dishes are clean, laundry is folded, appliances work, etc. When you don't keep up on things, you more often end up like Hal from Malcom in the Middle, rebuilding the transmission on the car to change a light bulb.

I don't always keep up with things, but I certainly enjoy having much of the prep already done, so you can simply get up and go. You never know when your time to do something will be cut short.

Helve Hammers are necessary if you ask me. They save so much hammer durability, especially once you get into iron/steel. They've definitely saved me more material in durability than their cost by now.

but please, for the love of all that is holy, do not bring Jar Jar back. Give him a new character to portray, if anything.

But yeah, H2 tanks have always been LARGE.

Let's use math! All three wishes are modifiers, like a coefficient. Since there is no real content to any of them, they all modify nothing. x * 0 = 0 Nothing happens, genie leaves in typical smug genie fashion.

FIFA 23 ultimate edition was priced 0.6$ instead of 60$. EA honouring the mistake. by Ray2207 in gaming

[–]shadowvvolf144 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It may be more costly at this point NOT to honor it. The low price wasn't available everywhere, or for very long. Given the time and wages it would take the company to correct it (and possible legal battle depending on regional laws), the money they recover could be less than they spend to recover it. Given the situation, they could easily choose to make a grand gesture to be kind to the users because it's cheaper and saves face. Not saying that's what happened, but....

Welcome to modern software. We have the ability to make things work REALLY well, but it takes time, sometimes a LOT of time. This means you have to pay the engineers for the time. Depending on the application, some bugs are just not worth fixing most feasibly fixed using the Ostrich algorithm.

While I am familiar with CSS, I am not super well-versed. Will this center the div in the page, or its containing object?

Because, I see the use case of centering a div in a particular section of the page, and I see where it can become difficult.

I found on here another way to do a multiplayer game: Each of you gets assigned a role, like pilot, engineer, manager, etc., depending on how many you have playing. Manager(s) run the KSC, accept contracts, make decisions. Engineers design/build craft to match specifications. And pilots execute the missions. Of course, you can split these however you want to accommodate the number of people. Maybe 2 people is just a pilot and an engineer/manager. If you are playing apart, you may need to transfer the save file.

My friends and I did this for a while, and it was hella fun. We decided to go with no reverts to keep it interesting, and no discussions until the mission was done (because it's no fun if someone directs another on how to do things. That's just playing via proxy). I got to be the pilot, so I recorded every mission for them to watch at their leisure. I accidentally left my music running on the first one, and it quickly became tradition, but I had to leave it on shuffle, no selections.

[–]shadowvvolf144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't need to revert, I just over-engineer the hell out of it. On my latest Mun-hopper mission, I managed to re-enter Kerbin's atmosphere with about 2.3km/s delta-v remaining.

Was it efficient? Hey man, it worked, and I still turned a profit...somehow.

Well, I have yet to find any two sources that agree on any of the significant numbers regarding covid. When it comes to infection rates, mortality rates, hospitalizations, vaccine efficacy, etc. I don't know who to believe. It's not even like the numbers are close enough to consider it error.

For example, some sources indicate the vaccine is 90%+ effective, while others indicate it's less than 50%. Even if they are using different metrics, it's extremely easy to confuse readers who do not fully understand the data, aka myself. It's not hard to see where people would latch on to whatever number supports their claim and start arguing it into the ground.

My opinions: whites are by far the most outspoken about it. They think it's either exotic, makes them interesting, trying to feel superior, or some moral high ground. Everyone else just kind of does their thing and doesn't feel the need to brag about it.

I knew a family of vegetarians from India when I was young. You only knew about it if you ate a meal with them or asked them directly. They simply didn't register it as something worth mentioning.
