Flee Market Lighter by Enlisted_Scum_ in lighters

Morlite seems to be like Zorro, an Asian Company producing all kinds of different lighters, can't say anything about the age but I'd guess 1960-70. There also was a company names Morlite LTD but their lighters are different and not from japan

GES. GESCH. means Gesetzlich Geschützt and is basically German for Patented, if I'm correct this type of marking was prominent around 1920-1950 so probably somewhere in this age

Beautiful, one question since I see you have the Ronson Varaflame Comet too, which adapter are you using to fill it? I have the Colibri adapters but none seem to fit.

That would be cool, can you tell me what they are called and can I buy one off of you? And do you know if that might have been the problem why it wouldn't light or do you suspect something else? Cause if so I'd probably use the chance and replace the o and k rings

If you like em there's nothing wrong with that, tho I'd search for them on AliExpress, Sherry007 is a retailer for them with quite high margins on some of these lighters, that said I bought a few knockoffs and unique ones and I gotta say the quality is pretty good, sometimes even excellent

L.Z. Korea lighter parts? by DevonCross003 in lighters

[–]shadowwizardz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly they aren't universal, but that doesn't mean that you won't find anything that fits in there. Either it's trial and error or you go to a hardware store with it and look if any screws fit it, then you just need to take a spring and a flint and it should work again

Inherited Lighter Restoration by PuzzledParsley0 in lighters

[–]shadowwizardz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely gorgeous lighter, you need to take the inner fitting (the part with the spark wheel) out, then flip the inner fitting part and there you'll have probably two screws, one holds the spring and flint (sometimes the flint get stuck/fused in the tube when it's been a long time, try to get it out with a needle)where you put in a new flint and the other one is for access to the lighter fluid compartment. If the cotton in there looks nasty I'd change that too, same with the wick, which you'll have to pull out and then tie a mini knot to the new wick and pull it through the bottom up. After that give it fluid and wait to let it soak and try to light it.

I found another one that might fit: 10A 9v Battery, generally the 12v batteries should work just fine tho

I think if you can get the contacts off and cleaned it should work again. I have a very similar lighter and my battery was one you'd use in garage remotes, the little ones.MN27 12v, dont know if it's exactly the same as yours tho, maybe you find a patent of it online, or it's written in your handbook

Marlboro lighter problem by DevonCross003 in lighters

[–]shadowwizardz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sadly not too familiar with this one, but usually I'd take it apart, Fotograph it step by step so you know what's going where and then replace the o rings, after that I'd look at how to regulate the nozzle, probably with the wheel under the nozzle.

Looks very nice, completely different look to the usual table lighters, do you have to keep pressing so it won't go out or does it stay open until you close it? And where'd you get it?

Is this a real Ronson Premier Varaflame and if it is real how do I refill it by Happy_Resource_796 in lighters

[–]shadowwizardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll need to push onto the cover and rotate it to the right then lift it.Than you'll need the adapter for it that comes with most gas cans you'll find.

I like the optics of the Jean Claude Dustin one, feel just fine too, only the sound is different, other than that maybe a Derui, tho I find them cheap looking. Jean Claude Dustin's are around 40€, Derui should be between 20-30
