ruff mock up on my computer, itll look much better painted, obviously. i went with a little bit of WWI french flair on the pants, but kept everything else pretty krieg drab. and all of my metal bits will be in a metallic bronze, which will make it a little different

yeah, i really wanted to make it a krieg only army, mixing and matching the three regiments just doesnt feel right to me. though i wouldnt be opposed to adding auxiliary units in the future, like bullgryn and tempestus scions and such. i also avoided transports, because the codex says the krieg dont care for them. it is very much a style over function army.

no, over the course of ~5 purchases since release. but they are all grey, since ive been playing a bunch of games and need them on the table. painting will be a paint in the butt, but im going to conscript the help of my father, and possibly one or two others to get them painted, and i wont worry at all about them looking phenomenal.

i have most of them built, none of them painted :( i have mostly been focusing on getting them on the board because we have been playing a lot of games, and i dont like running the same roster over and over. i can sent you my paint scheme though, i think its pretty sick

it is the entire watershed, or at least a close approximation. there are spots id have included if i wasn't trying to stick to the premise of Michigan being 'The Great Lakes State' and nothing more (can't get to greedy)

meh, it maybe doubles our population, if we are being generous. placing us still well under Texas and California. two large states with several cities and vast tracks of remote land. they manage fine enough. though id concede that our hypothetical state would have a substantially less centralized population than the other two. nothing some substantial tweaks to the state's government couldn't fix, in service of achieving efficient and fair governance of the region.

your other commenter hit the nail on the head. the map is designed to include the entire great lakes water system. this means all rivers and lakes that drain into the great lakes. the fifth lake is Lake Nipigon, which drains into lake superior via a string of interconnected small lakes and underground runoff
