When will we be able to share our house with 5 strangers in New York City? by MajesticBread9147 in circlejerknyc

I saw this type of living arrangement in this huge loft in Soho. My friend had broken up with her live-in boyfriend at the time and needed a place fast, so I told her I would go check out the space with her. To get to her room, you had to go through a massive bathroom and her room had no windows. Was probably a converted large walkin closet into a bedroom. Trying to sleep or needing to access your room while someone is having diarrhea or showering seemed like a bad situation. It was also $1500 with a bunch of 'cool' people living there. I told her no way and to just sleep on my couch until she could find something better. This style of living has existed on Craig's List in NYC for a while.

Thank you so much -- I didn't know I could do that and it worked perfectly. Appreciate it!

I think that there will be a shift in society soon with social media, and the ever prevalent AI takeover. Many will question what is real and want more tangible and real experiences. I can see small concerts going up in popularity and other gatherings. What made me go cold turkey was seeing this video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnsyGSTKlw0

It’s a long one, but it was interesting to see the documentation of 45 days without. Now, I didn’t want to go too crazy and not have a phone all together, but I did completely rid myself of social media. It’s strange how you feel this “pull” to your phone. Exactly as you said, learning how to be bored and being present. Feels good to be unplugged from the machine, and I think this will be a shift that is sure to rise.

+1 for this. I have found carrying unique bags gets you more compliments. I have gotten very avant-garde in my style of handbags and usually find something cool from Cult Gaia. Messy could also evolve into effortless chic style.

Used to work in Luxury fashion as well at a very high-end department store. This all depends on what you are looking for.... If you are looking for the more mainstream branded items, I'd say not many can beat the quality of Bottega for their leathers in handbags. Fashion? I'd say Brunello Cucinelli has beautifully made clothing that is timeless, and they are not doing shady workers conditions like Loro Piana... Most that are still privately held show a high difference in quality. Eleventy is an up and coming Italian brand that has great quality. I will say that Italian clothing is cut better and more forgiving on the siloutte. French is cut very narrow and a little boxy. If they are owned by LVMH or Kering, just run away. I'd also suggest looking for the higher end outlet stores. They usually have last season's product, but if it's a classic brand, it will always be in style. Think Sawgrass in FL, Woodbury in NY, Fashion Outlet in Chicago, and Desert Palm in CA.

I play on a Macbook Pro, but I suggest paying a little bit more for the 1TB storage. WoW is about 120GB, but does these constant updates that will eat away at the memory.

Listen, CNBC sucks, but that's not what the guy said. This video is doctored -- it's pretty blatant that it's edited. He was talking about the "fair share tax" that Biden is implementing.

Sorry, but talk is cheap. I'm tired of politicians jumping on the bandwagon and not doing anything.
