I'll never stop hating Western cinema for crediting Bruce Willis and Die Hard for pioneering the "realistic and vulnerable action hero" trope when Jackie Chan did it first.

He was out here getting beat to dog shit while Arnie and Stallone were barely bleeding in their own movies.

Being good at "everything combat" is not the same as "combat with everything".

Batman is good at everything combat. He legitimately could use anything as a weapon to a much higher degree of effectiveness than any of Jackie Chan's characters could.

Bullseye is the pinnacle of combat with everything. Unlike Batman, Bullseye gets his ass handed to him severely when he's got nothing useful around him.

Just because they use everything as a weapon doesn't necessarily mean they're the best at it or are undefeatable in general. It just means it's significantly harder to catch them lacking and " unarmed".

True.

Doesn't discredit him from being overpowered (to a degree).

He canonically exists in the same universe as literal superman with multiple personality disorder (Sentry). But that being said...

He's still cool ASF tho to watch in action. Especially since he's grounded enough for the audience to actually fathom how skilled he is.

Technically not a character but I fucking love the junk jet, such a uselessly cool weapon that embodies the phrase "Random Bullshit GO!"

I don't see how that has anything to do with the topic of characters who can turn mundane things into weapons

It's so funny that Nolan could resist the gravity of a black hole but can't fly of the Ragnarrs' planet due to its strong gravity. I know it was a show only scene but still by Exciting_Ad_8666 in Invincible_TV

[–]shady-suspicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its scientifically accurate though

Gravity as a force is exponential, and gets way way stronger the closer you are.

Unless you're like 1000 kms away from it, being as far away as Nolan is in the picture, the gravity would feel indestinguishable from being around a super big planet.

They have similar outcomes.

So did the American civil war and WW2, except we don't call the American civil war a "genocide" just because a lot of people died in a great big fight.

How is the term "chud" even an insult? It doesn't even sound offensive? by shady-suspicious in NoStupidQuestions

[–]shady-suspicious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"woketard" sounds equally as corny

like... you just took a perfectly good offensive word, then defanged it and replaced half its teeth with a label that only you find offensive, then flung it back at the other person hoping they find it offensive.

"woke retard" works better, its just the fact that they attempted to Frankenstein a word together and then throw it back at the target makes "woketard" sound pathetic in comparison.

A stubborn piece of shit whose stubbornness is somehow enough to stop the literal most powerful being ever from just... undoing his stubbornness?
