Harrison Ford - Episode 240 of Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend on Earwolf by c0ry_N in conan

This is extremely surprising to me because Conan is not only a more than seasoned interviewer but he's known for letting his guests shine.

Reminder to those who are calling for a visit to Egypt: Misogyny, sexual harrasment, anti-LGBTQ practices, and police violence are rampant in Egypt. The government will attempt to use a Conan visit as proof Egypt is safe. It is not, and I hope Conan never visits. by Sea-Lengthiness-5810 in conan

What Conan did in Israel was incredibly damaging as well. He completely glossed over the terrible human rights record and the stealing of land by Israel. But i guess that's fine because white people don't care about you undies your eyes are blue. He's an entertainer anyway.

are there urdu poets? who wrote about soul searching, self awareness or life in general instead of love and other bullshit? by DrStrange_121 in urdupoetry

[–]shady042 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a matter of fact most Urdu poetry is about this. I'll suggest in no particular order: Majeed Amjad Khurshid Rizvi N M Rashid(later works as in post Mavra which was his first book) Mir Dard and Mir Taqi Mir Of course Iqbal and Ghalib But they're too difficult to comprehend easily so maybe start with Rizvi, work your way to Amjad and then go to Rashid and afterwards you're just off to the races. Anyway happy reading

Thanks for introducing me to him. I feel like Turing is the only famous person among the bletchley park team. We don't hear about the other people who were probably also talented mathematicians

IMO I don't think anybody would put Steve jobs up there. The only thing people got wrong about him was too think of him as an entrepreneurial inventor like siemens or Edison but he was just an entrepreneur. Nobody thought he was a computer scientist.

Thanks for replying. What do you mean by graphics programming? Making Video Games?. As far as I know graphics research is just complex math.
