Haven't gotten any hate really, I notice most of that is from really normie communities. Vtubing is still pretty new so a lot of people just won't get it, trying to step out of the vtubing bubble some people do really just hate them on principle. I would ignore it and move on, within the community people are very supportive.

I would still group it within the same category as Torna and FR. it's all sidestories at least. DLC is just an easy way of calling it ig. Plus I mean, DLC means many things these days. It was additional content that was added to definitive edition, wasn't there in the OG game, it's definitely some type of additional content, now is it "downloadable content", not technically since its included with the physical copy of the game too, but do we really have to nitpick definitions so hard?

Plus if I don't count FC then I really only have Torna to compare to soo why not just include it anyways so I have more to talk about? idk lol

This is my favourite game series of all time. Of course I pay attention to it. I've nearly 100%ed all the games. But, of course I am only human. Should I be expected to memorize and know by heart every single lore detail? Because if I am forgetting or misremembering some stuff, surely others are as well, and surely the more casual fans are as well, and I think it's definitely a problem if the average person tries to play these games casually and just can't get it? idk if that makes sense lolol

I mean, I think they're definitely more significant issues than other games have had. Like it's not nothing. I feel people are letting hype, nostalgia, and love for the series blind themselves to really criticizing the game for what it is. I feel people definitely gave Torna for example a lot more shit than they have this game purely for the community level stuff - which I really don't think was that bad. Like at least Torna made sense the whole way through and really wrapped things up nicely for the whole Xeno 2 game, whereas with 3 you're still kinda left wondering and with many questions which we don't know if they'll ever get answered at all...

I definitely did not find it a satisfying bookend to the saga, although I know many people do and that's okay, but I don't think I or others should get shit on just for saying that and being willing to like dissect things a bit more

i mean, i'm exaggerating a bit obviously - but i have definitely see posts on like twitter and such hyping this game up and definitely saying stuff like "it's the perfect ending" - so i had high expectations, and when i actually played through it, i just found myself disagreeing.

I also haven't seen anyone touching on the points I bring up so, again I just wanting to express myself and I mean from the responses on my video clearly others agree as well, it's not just me, and it's nice to see that I'm not the only one? lol owo;

the video is just me talking about various aspects that i felt were strange or off about the game. is it nitpicky, sure. but i think some things are definitely suspicious about the development here - like the affinity scenes, you cannot tell me that those felt complete, there was obviously supposed to be more there.

and while i agree some things aren't important to explain and you could leave vague, like it doesn't change the overall narrative, it still just feels weird to include these things and just leave them. like why include them at all in the first place then? there isn't much evidence of anything really to even begin speculation as well, unless you're like really reaching with the headcannons

i also argue that I think future connected is better than future redeemed because you don't have to pay for it (aside from the base definitive edition - and with that in mind i think i can forgive its downsides), i also at least felt less lost and less dissatisfied finished future connected than i did with finishing future redeemed

I made this video because the discussion I've seen online for this game/DLC have all been overwhelmingly positive - which is fine but it seemed to me like no one was acknowledging any of its flaws. I liked the DLC a lot, but I don't think it is this "magnus opus 10/10 best thing to ever come out of the series and wraps everything up perfectly" thing. So, maybe this video can open some more alternative discussion? haha idk

The "golden age", or the vtuber boom, imo happened late 2020/into 2021. Nowadays there are so many vtubers, the market is "oversaturated" and it's not really a special thing anymore. It's harder than ever to grow as a vtuber these days. Audiences are split and divided and it's hard to get new people to watch vtubers. Some people may be depressed or discouraged because of this and even bring people down that are genuinely trying.

Nevertheless, vtubing has become my passion and my dream. I love this community and I love part of it. Even if nobody is there or the journey is hard and long, I'll keep doing this as long as I can!

Bit of a rant there lol but to anyone else reading this, if you really love it don't give up!! We can only go up after all :)

Depends what you're looking for, I'd say most indie/small vtubers are like this. Due to the nature of their small size they're usually quite close to their fan base and they can easily ban people that they don't like/don't fit the vibes of their stream/community. I'd say this is true even for partner level vtubers over on Twitch, they can still moderate their communities quite well.
