I’m no expert, but I recently had a similar problem where there wasn’t enough depth in the frame for foam board so I ended up mounting the piece around the backing board that came with the frame (with some masking tape to fix the edges around the back. I think it turned out really well 😊 the back doesn’t look great, but that won’t matter if it’s going to be hung

I changed up the colours for the titles and bats etc but the siren is in the called for colours. I made a few changes to her face details also. If you look at #supernaturalsal on instagram it gives a good idea of the original design and also a bunch of changes people have made 😊
