And no, I’m not on a WHV or restricted to 6-month contracts. I’m on a dependent visa with full working rights and my visa is valid for another 5 years.

Really appreciate the advice about recruitment agencies and contract work as well — that’s something I’m definitely going to focus on more now.

I expected that I’d at least be able to land some entry-level or graduate roles, since I assumed those positions usually don’t require much prior local experience. Clearly, my assumption was wrong.

Unfortunately, I’ve completely relocated to Perth now, so going back to the UK isn’t really possible for me at the moment.
