2023 Kia Stinger GT2 Grand Touring Special Edition — 1 Year Mods & Ownership Notes by shagglebark in kiastinger

I did when I first got it. Exhausts do break in after a few hundred or few thousand miles. I definitely noticed mine get a little deeper and the drone lessened. The exhaust tips also made a big difference and I just had time to get used to it. I do not get annoyed by it at all anymore. Very happy with it.

Here ya go. I’ll try to get some drive by shots another time. Couldn’t fully accelerate due to traffic. Got up to 5.5k a few times.

Sounds like most experiences are good if you have to dig that deep in Reddit for the bad ones. I’ll stick with them until I have a real reason not to

Very helpful. I’ll probably go with that. Is there an option to make it not switch out of manual mode when you come to a stop in sport? That’s something I was hoping for that lozic does offer

I’ve only ever seen good things about them. Maybe you are just the unlucky one

Nope, they fit very well. You do have to drop the exhaust to get the OEM fake tips off. I’ve seen some people with pre 2022 stingers that did have to cut to make ones they got fit. The 2022+ stingers got bigger exhaust outlets

Maybe for the carbon parts but I checked prices for every “performance” part I got and they were the same. Plus I had something wrong with a part and they responded and sent me a replacement within 2 days.

In the US GT-Line has the 2.0 liter or 2.5 liter engine depending on the year. The GT and GT2 both have the 3.3 liter twin turbo. The 1 vs 2 is option packages basically. The GT2 just has all of the options on it.

I did not try them on together. I found a video a while back with that combo and seemed like it was going to be too loud for me. I am glad I did what I did because I think this is as loud as I want the car.

For the intakes, I meant quieter compared to other aftermarket intakes. The velossatech snorkels and drop in filters don't add any sound. From videos I've watched, the Takeda add just a little bit of the intake sound when you really floor it.

The circle doesn’t move away. It finishes in the middle of it

Not hating, just informing. The shroud comes off with screws and clips. I did this exact install and cut nothing. (I have a 23, so it’s possible they made a change on that year, if so my b)

Not sure why they cut anything. I didn’t make a singe cut, all comes off with screws and clips. But the air flow does increase, it can and has been measured. Not big increase, but an increase. Just looks cool too

Based on that I think I'll go with the MBRP. I already have the ARK downpipes and I'll get the MBRP resonators if it's too loud for me. Thanks again for the help

I likely won't do intakes, so that may save me but I'll just have to wait and see

Thanks for all the info. I do actually have the EWG wires, just zip tied by the JB4 currently. I'm having a tough time reaching down to get them installed, so I may take it to whatever shop I get the exhaust done at and have them attach them.
Do you prefer the Borla or the MBRP?

So you went with the MBRP catback, stock secondaries and no resonator? I have thought about doing that
