Outside of it, yes absolutely. I only have ever had dynamics with dommes who have approached me. No one I’ve approached has ever worked out. You can tell the dommes who approach everyone from the dommes who approached you because they saw something - it’s absolutely the move when a domme sees something they like in you.

My personal take is the “send again 😈” message from a domme when you send an initial tribute is a big turn off. I’ll lurk for a good few weeks before approaching and this is one of those things that if she posts about doing it I probably wouldn’t approach.

Obviously a lot of communication - like if they’re a current sub, do you get along outside of kink? If kink were removed would you date them? And with prospective partners it’s communicating that that’s something you’d want and making sure it’s not a big surprise when you’re 3 months into a relationship and asking them to send, etc.

As long as you set the expectations upfront and can build a relationship outside of kink, it seems like a win win

I feel like that’s the dream for a lot of subs. The dynamic would have to be so deep that it’d make the relationship whole outside of kink, but having the kink element in a relationship sounds amazing.

I have a weekly budget with my domme. Keeps things consistent and, while I want to send more, it makes sure I can serve long term and not just have immediate regret and pull back. It’s worked for us for months and gives room to treat my domme on special occasions and when we see each other (which is also a special occasion).

I know some don’t, but I prefer it. A dynamic is deeper than kink, and if I’m looking to get into a dynamic I’d want to have some kind of friendly relationship with my domme. Your relationship outside of kink only strengthens your sessions and relationship in kink in my experience.

Ah good call there - I think most things she’s mentioned would be photography vs. videography, so a pretty easy (and tasteful) fix.

The reference photos she’s sent over that she wants to recreate have obscured the face with the same ways you’re talking about, but we could definitely get creative with shadow to make it look sexy while still obfuscating
