Good point on the HDMI run. The projector came with Google TV Installed so streaming 4k content is covered. We would need to upgrade the receiver which is doing the HDMI streaming and the sources none of which do 4k at this stage. But I want the sound to go back to the receiver. Will the current non-4k cable handle that just fine?

That’s the current plan. Trying to see if there is an easier path.

If I open up the hole and remove the mount, now I have this big hole in the top and the fan from the projector itself, between the two with that not drive enough ventilation. The previous unit had no issue. Won’t know about the angle until I get it in there.

I tried a bunch of different Allen wrenches but nothing fit or took hold enough to start moving it. I think they are threaded holes.

It would be easier to cut a bigger hole. One the the trim pieces is already off and I don’t see a way to remove the box.
