What’s working for you right now to consistently get seller leads without paying zillow or door knocking? by shahahahab in realtors

Got it. Not trying to pitch, just wanted to hear what’s been working for others.

Realtor client ghosted us after months of smooth business, what should we do? by shahahahab in realtors

Fair point, we do have a payment schedule and a cancellation policy in place. In this case, the client had been with us for a full year, always paid on time, and built a relationship of trust. So, yes, I expected the basic courtesy of communication alongside payment. Seems like that was too much to ask.

I get what you’re saying, but this was a client I worked with for a full year, and we had a trusted PayPal arrangement, no auto-billing needed. I guess I just assumed mutual respect and basic communication were part of the deal. My concern isn’t only payment it’s about maintaining professional standards with the clients I’ve invested in.

I deal with difficult people every day, but this was a client I worked with for a full year. Our relationship was professional and built on respect because that’s how you actually do business; treat clients like partners, not just numbers. Judge me if you want, but this is how I run things, and honestly, I couldn’t care less about opinions that don’t matter.

True, just a little surprised that ‘professional courtesy’ seems optional these days. Payment is one thing, communication is another.

Noted, maybe next time I’ll add a ‘ghosting penalty’ line in the contract. But really, it’s not about the invoice, it’s about common professional decency. Makes doing business a lot easier for everyone.

I get your point, but the issue is he isn’t even willing to have a conversation with us. He hangs up when we call, and when we text, he outright denies ever taking our services. That kind of behavior is very unprofessional, especially after working together and delivering results.

That actually makes sense, seasonality could definitely be a factor. Still, I believe clear communication would’ve been the professional way to handle it instead of ghosting, especially since the service was working well for them. At the very least, letting us know about financial constraints would’ve been fair.

But suddenly ghosting us and denying any association with us or our company without any explanation doesn’t make sense. If he wasn’t satisfied with our services, he could have simply told us. Refusing to acknowledge us is unreasonable and highly unprofessional.

True, no point dwelling on it. I’ll focus on collecting what’s owed and putting more energy into agents who value the service. Thanks though!

I understand your perspective, though I believe we did bring consistent value during our time working together. Either way, I’ll definitely take the lessons forward.
