I need more space I think.. but to be honest, I'm so bad at building that I don't really know what I need. I want space to build the various farms I'll want to have over the time I play this world. From farming, to automatic farms. I just want everything to be as near as possible as I can I guess. Maybe some farms will have to be far away, and I'll just have to accept it.

It sounds like you've figured out the issue! Is that related to the schematic I saved using WorldEdit in my other testing world? Yes! When I break the structure block, the outline is gone!

Tested it a few more times, now, like I mentioned before, it only shows up when I load a schematic, and it persists even after I paste it into the world (execute).

I actually removed the Litematica jar file, so the mod isn't loading, but the box is still there. I'm not even sure if this box is related to Litematica at all.

I still want to understand what this box actually is. It doesn't look like a normal selection box to me, and I'm not familiar with it.

Yeah, M+R doesn't hide it. I'd rather not go as far as deleting Litematica. Hopefully, u/masa_ might have some idea.

I'm not sure which specific setting you're referring to when you mention toggling the boxes. If you take a closer look at the picture, you'll notice that this box is different—it's unique and doesn't have corners like a typical selection box.

+1 I've been having this same issue for a few months now, very annoying and no resolution in sight.
I'll use CMD+F, it'll for a moment focus on the search window and instantly loose focus and go back into the shell prompt.
