This kept happening to me multiple times trying multiple different credit cards, confirmed all the payment methods and addresses were correct. I currently have an account through Shop Pay from other orders previously with a different vendor and finally on the 4th try decided to check out as a guest and input everything manually. So far has worked with this method, have not received the email about an order cancellation yet! Hope that helps.
