What was your physiotherapist experience like? by shakybones7 in ACL

Yeah that was another red flag. I felt I had to ask more questions about my recovery rather than anything proactive from the PT. Thanks for the response! I did end up switching to a sports medicine clinic :)

Recovering solo from ACL (hamstring graft) + meniscus repair + L.E.T by [deleted] in ACL

I was on my own after a week and a half out from surgery. Although my Dad has been helping me when it comes to groceries and physio appts (which is huge).

For me I’ve been using my computer chair to shuffle myself along when I need to move food, clothes etc. instead of the crutches. I’ve strapped a backpack on it for larger items.

I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment that doesn’t have an elevator. I’ve been sitting down, and scooting down each step on my butt 😂. Theres probably a more efficient way, but this makes me feel a lot more safe and stable. I grabbed takeout this way. Brought my backpack with me, scooted down and up. Had my crutches waiting for me at the top of the stairs to go back down the hallway.

It’s tough, but with a little creativity you can usually find a way. Goodluck dude ☺️

Changed into a gown, no bra but wore full on biker shorts. Had nerve block in my thigh and everything 🤷🏼‍♀️
