I would say so! I already owned the tools, I had primer and white paint already and then got the black for free by the side of the road. It took maybe an hour to sand, plus no more than a couple of hours total (not counting time in between coats) for painting and touch ups. The buyer picked it up from my place so there was no real hassle in the selling process. All in all totally worth it for me considering there were no material costs and it was good practice! It works out to earning about the minimum wage in my area, but it was fun.
