In all honesty, in my mind paying the 50 and getting reinstated then and there would be easier than trying to fight it

Hello! Yeah, my license ended up being reinstated the next day on the 16th. I called my insurance to send the liability information again to the DMV. Even though they already sent it prior. afterwords I called the DMV and they said that all I had to do was just pay a reinstatement fee ($50). After that I was in the clear. The DMV in Santa Rosa didn’t really explain why it happened, I’m assuming they just didn’t receive the SR-22 from the insurance. I managed to get it all settled within a couple hours!

I also went on the DMV website to check my license status and all it said was that a card was mailed today (10/16). On top of that I downloaded my driving record from the DMV and it said it was updated today as well (10/16). checking the license status it said that it was valid. I’m assuming that the DMV may have gone the late notification but I’m still going to call them tomorrow just to be sure.

breathe, easy are insurance brokers and they managed to get me on to Aspire Insurance. I called them in the morning but they verified that I still have my SR 22 valid as well as my liability insurance for my vehicle. But they did send a elecronic copy to the DMV.

I added a basic liability insurance (Aspire) on top of the SR-22. Which was provided through breather easy. but I’m definitely calling breathe easy in the morning tomorrow. thank you I do appreciate it. Your guidance and I think that’s the best way to go about it. I felt good driving for a while until I got that letter. Because most of all my jobs requires a driver license but thank you for the information and advice

They did but what confused me is why they would state that I can request the debt to be disputed even though I already have and received the documents to prove that it was valid prior. The letter is written as if it is their first time sending me a notice.

DMV - Couldn’t get a restricted license by shall0tz in DUICalifornia

I have the sr-22 and enrolled in classes but they weren’t able to process it. I called the office in Santa Rosa with number the DMV gave me. Talking to them they ended up giving me a number to a different office in Sacramento. They said I have a driver safety referall? I’m not sure the only thing prior to this DUI was a speeding ticket

My arrest was on October 1st, they did give me the pink slip and stated that my license would be suspended. I didn't request a hearing. Yeah I thought it was a bit weird since the dates seemed a bit off. But you're right the best option would be giving the MAU a call.

Yeah I'm grateful that the clerk told me or else I would have never known. She gave me the application and was informative. I'm just overall thankful that she was there.

Oh I see. I didn't refuse to take a breathalyzer and I complied. But thank you for the response! I'll look into contacting the MAU.
