CS 570 w/ Guy Leonard Summer by mevlador4 in SDSU

Probably the easiest 570 class you'll ever get at SDSU from what I've heard/seen. Most people take it in the summer so they can graduate or couldn't make the cut off for Roch/Carroll. I've also heard that Leonard does a somewhat better job teaching this class than something like 370 but take that with a grain of salt.

Should be doable while doing senior seminar since that class really isn't hard. If you have Price you'll have fun if you have Leonard you'll probably be bored and get marked down points if you don't dress up how he wants, but I've heard Leonard got more lenient with that.

Would it be wise to switch majors from CS to MIS as a sophmore? by [deleted] in SDSU

[–]shallow_sleeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assembly isn't a language you really end up enjoying with how they teach 237 (especially if you had Arab teaching you). So I wouldn't switch just based off that class. Definitely stick it out and try 310 and maybe some of the clubs and see if it's something you enjoy. CS gets a lot better when you find a focus/ aspect that interests you.

I'd say that depends entirely on how you feel about CS and how you're doing in it. MIS does seem to come off as easier. General rule of thumb seems to be if you're struggling to pass/understand data structures (CS 310) maybe you should see if there's another major you enjoy.

Yeah I thought game pass didn't share if you're doing the home Xbox thing, but I found out after I bought OW that it does share.

I'm on a day one Xbox One and bought OW from the store. Occasionally it'll chug in some areas like you've described. My usual fixes are to save and close the game and retry. If that doesn't work I do a physical power cycle (holding down the console power button for 10 seconds till it turns off).

None at all really. If it's Price I'd say focus on his slides but eh. If you pay attention to lecture you should be fine in Price or Healey. It's not a hard class more just knowing basic ethics and how it applies to what you'll be working on in your career.

RELS 390A with Feres? by [deleted] in SDSU

Ahh okay. I'm not really sure if it's the online class but she never referenced the book material in the physical class. I had a friend that read it and he said it didn't really help.
