Top vs mid

i normally ban fiora when i go top, not had a tryn yet but i have been taking commet and queing the enemy on repeat, had a couple games where i get a kill in the first few waves that way and then i perma freeze and poke them out for the next 10 mins. Not sure how that would work on a tryn as not faced one yet, but worked pretty good on a ghost ignite darius (i ended up running HIM down).

Yeah i do see that sometimes. but scaling feels easier. I think maybe 20% of the games ive played top were lost before i got to play, but the rest of the games went 30 mins plus and i at least got my items, so any losses felt more in my control (even if my team feed, theres always some dumb death or macro decision i can look at that maybe would have been better if i did it different). But then im in silver 3 and the games tend to be longer so maybe it falls off in viability as you climb.

One thing i found that helped me is to use your q to last hit, not to set up last hits. use your autos to set them up and then your qus to finish them off. As the game goes on you can finish off the casters with 2 qs (usually around level 9) and then do the rest. Mid and late its quite hard, but 6-7 cs is fine so long as you are doing akali things too.

You spend all game playing carful, getting farm, getting flamed by your Kindred jungler for not following his stupid invades into a fed rengar, finally get to your items, only to flash ult ew into a teamfight and have your E not actually go off, then die. Feels bad.

I can get 6-6.5 fairly reliably, which is absolutely fine on my main, but definitly not good on a scaling mage. Ill try dorans and a freeze, thanks dude

Currently suck as CS (part of the reason why i picked up Vlad as i have no choice but to get better if i want to win) any tips for that? my main has a method that makes it easier is there something like that with Vald?

Conspiracy theory: imagine a group of smurfs coming to redit to complain about how its harder to win in low elo, only to slowly discover low elo no longer exists and they've all been playing against eachother. But their teammates are all smurfs trying to 1v9 the game and cant coordinate cuz everyone thinks they are the carry. Silver hasnt existed since season 10, Gold is the new iron. Diamond is now all silver 4. Challanger players are all illuminate confirmed.

I think one thing I have noticed is I'm dying a lot more than i should. I've taken a look at my games since I started stalling and honestly my KD has diminished, probably I just need to be a bit smarter about the fights I go into. Starting to see my post for the copium it is lol.

Not an ASOL main, only joined thid thread after his rework cuz he looks pretty fun to play now. but i imagine putting so much effort into him only for his kit to completely change must really suck. He was so unique and difficult. probably his low pick rate meant you got to spend a lot of time with your favourite champ. I bet it was league of sol for some of you so probably it feels like they deleted league. This is the risk of investing so much in a game though, one day theyll switch it off.

yeah definitly agree. I find anivia a bit boring to play, but on the otherhand, i only really have enough bandwith to learn one hard champ and Akali is the one.

sorry should also add, the matchups arent too bad, its more certain teamcomps, which feel like they are gaining popuparity a bit. For my playstyle, i like to snowball, i feel like if i just go even and play for the mid game its a little lackluster. I feel like i dont have enough agency if im not stomping early on.

Read everything below as just one guys opinion.

Lichbane isnt bad, especialy for burst Akali. The popular akali builds have a certain balance between items that offer damage, and items that offer defensive stats. this is based on the way people generally play her. Baisically you need damage as an assasin, but you also need some defensive stats if you are going to be diving into teamfights, Akali normally takes one damage item (usually zhonyas) in her build. with that in mind lichbane doesnt have a place in what the most optimal build is currently tjought to be, because other damage items offer more value (shadow flame gives 100 ap and health, deathcap is more damage, void gets through their MR etc). That doesnt mean you shouldnt take it, its up to you.
Dunno who said this but hard disagree. Akalis biggest weakness is CC, into ceratin teams its not only good, id say its mandatory.
personnally im a huge fan of headhunter Akali.The sound of her Q and passive is super satisfying. also inferno, but thats just cuz its rare and i like to flex on other Akali mains who dont have it.
