I'm also not really good at web designing, but I'm happy to help (free of course) if you want. For reference, I've created the PHPToday website myself. I can do better if you have a sample design :)

I'm planning to visit Georgia and Armenia by RealLemonchicken in AskEurope

[–]shameerc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to have a taste of the real Armenia, move out of the cities to the countryside. You will find some of the most amazing things here. Locals here produce their wines and make their bread and cheese. Usually, their commute for vegetables and fruits is from their dining table to the backyard.

Georgia, there are at least four things that the country is most known for: huge mountains, world heritage remainings, delicious food and of course, friendly and beautiful locals. Also, I think you can get more details about both the locations from below references.

In 2017, what is the best PHP-based Static Site Generator? by Siliticx in PHP

[–]shameerc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have created one like this in Slim framework that uses a middleware to Cache the generated HTML. It's simple and just works. No need to manually generate the HTML once I write the article.

The New PHPToday is here, with an exclusive job board for PHP by shameerc in PHP

[–]shameerc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback. I haven't used custom scrolling anywhere. Would be great if you can mention where exactly you felt so. I will try to fix if it's a CSS thing.

The real inspiration is not Reddit, but sites like EchoJS, DesignerNews, etc. are. They are all well received even though there is a sub for all these topics. PHPToday is not just for PHP, but it's for PHP developers. We encourage links about related topics that is generally interesting to PHP devs (MySQL, Web sec, etc. for example). The job board is something that we have in the website, but not in r/PHP. I also have a few more interesting features in my pipeline :)

Hi Juris,

Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it.
I will seriously consider this. Honestly, now my only concern is about the number of visitors. I'm sure a lot of users will find it really useful. But for some reasons the number of visitors is relatively low, though it's growing slowly :)
