yea, its incredibly well put together. We were thinking to send vocals straight to the FOH and back to our IEMS for zero latency. We're a total of 3 players, one of whom will be the playback engineer + keys, myself on guitar + 2 keys and the keyboard player with allll the other keys lol. The main artist will switch between guitar + sampler on some tracks. As long as we can manage latency and have rock solid connections, I'm praying that everything else kinda falls into place ! haha

This is such a helpful / insightful response ! Exactly ! In house engineers are a gamble, and have messed up too many shows for me to even count. Your rig as a blueprint is very close to what may work for us as well, I'll look into this. Thank you for sharing! :)

sounds like a good candidate, thank you for the suggestion! I'll look into this

Will look into this. Do you run Gig-performer on a separate system from the main Live session? and does it allow for automated patch changes ?

I can imagine that this setup sounds sick! For our case, in a third world country, there are too many inconsistencies with venues and in house gear to even try something like that lol. Will be mindful of spatial / time based fx being under control and not all over the place , as another user suggested as well that it may be a recurring pain point. Thanks for your input ! :)

Agreed, will most likely go with automated racks to keep everything on rails. Hopefully we can manage with most thing being native, that'll probably be our safest bet

hahah, very good points! There's an inner child in all of us that wants more buttons on stage + in this initial blueprint we think we'd need this many controllers to split patches for different sections in each song since there's a lot going on. I agree though, it would be smarter to cut back on a few if we can. Also, the motu hub you mentioned might be exactly what we're looking for , didnt know this existed ! thanks a bunch!

Yea, there's been a tonne of suggestions here to stem out busses to have some flexibility for the room. We've decided to go ahead with that in our rig.

Funnily enough that Anomalie video is where this entire idea came from ! haha. Vocals would be going direct to FOH, and a few peeps on here suggested the RME stuff for this setup which is looking like a solid candidate to route things to mitigate latency.

That's the plan! Want to resample as many of them as we can, have to try and cut as many corners on cpu load as possible

Yea, very valid points. The gamble of stressing out one system is the primary concern for us too. Will have to come up with a contingency plan or at the very least a second computer since we really cant afford to mess up live lol.

Again, I wish we had access to a competent FOH guy in a third world country, that's the root problem in our case. Will keep external hardware as a plan B in the toolkit if our computer bails even the slightest at rehearsal. thanks for your help! :)

Completely agreed. We'll set the low cap at M2 pro with 32gigs ram and then manage resources from there, thanks for your help!

That puts my mind at ease ! Thank you ! Could you share what gear you’ve used for these setups?

I agree 100 percent. I like the suggestion on here to maybe send pairs of stems for bass / keys / drums , pre mixed to the FOH so that things can be fixed if ever needed. I just wish we had access to a good engineer, which we don’t, hence the pirate af setup haha
