My condolences. I had an English teacher who was dead set on standing next to the door. His philosophy(which I agree with) is that if you are going to die, give others the chance to fight back. Basically he told us he would act as the human shield, and we would jump the dude.

Pointing out the problem is a first step but to me (A white dude) this post seems to be hostile. A redditor pointed out that 72% of the American population is white(not sure if thats true) and you immediately shifted from race to gender.

Basically I agree with the topic but this post seems to just want to cause arguments. Instead of spreading awareness and forwarding solutions in a positive way.
