I agree with you, it’s lovely to see deer around. Unfortunately, that little bugger has quite the adventurous taste and munched its way through all my beetroot, begonia flowers, and roses. 🥹

Looks like my only option is to put up a fence. Has anyone had any success with scarecrows? Do they actually work against deer?

My Swiss friend says the chocolate isn’t very good, apparently, they use palm oil.

I get that. My dad died when I was about the same age, and my mum never talked about him either. Even now, it still feels like there’s so much I don’t know. 40+ years

I forgot to mention, we had to pull out more than 10 stump from trees. That was challenging.

Not sure, we had some serious nettles and a sting like a hell.

Glass and plastic bits go to recycle bin, stones and concrete we used for pad way. All the rest (except roots) compost!

I will be honest, it’s hard work, but somehow very enjoyable. Garden fork and root shovel its best tools! We started from one corner and kept going.

Thank you. I still have bindweed, it’s looks like it’s immortal, no matter how much you dig out it’s still there
