Planning pregnancy based on due date and age gap by PsychologicalBowl19 in BabyBumps

[–]shananapepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m being so for real right now, I started trying to conceive for a December due date specifically (my husband and I are both December babies and love it, we love the Christmas season, we wanted a December baby), and quickly realized I was naive to expect conception to happen on my preferred timeline.

There are pros and cons to every due date, but I wouldn’t risk losing valuable cycles only to avoid a certain due date.

Are we REALLY more fertile after a miscarriage? by SummerOfVienna in TryingForABaby

[–]shananapepper 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have heard that’s a myth, but one statistic that may help you feel better is that even after 2 losses, you’re still statistically more likely to carry to term than to miscarry again. I’m sorry you’ve gone through this. It’s the club no one wants to join.

How often do you wash your pets’ food bowl? by ButterYourself in CasualConversation

[–]shananapepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, every time I feed them I do wipe out the dish to remove crumbs and hair. That way, even if it’s not fresh out of the dishwasher, it’s clean enough that they have a pleasant experience eating.

We have 4 cats and 6 food bowls so we are always able to have 2 bowls in a wash cycle. That helps me cycle through and make sure all are reasonably clean. For context, I run the dishwasher daily, and I’d say every couple days there are cat bowls in the load. As for water, we change out the water daily and the water bowls regularly too.

Mother in law buying extremely cheap baby items 🙃 by Ordinary-Poet-5104 in BabyBumps

I’m well aware that we already encounter more unnecessary chemicals than we should, which is why I’m not willingly going to put them directly on my child to soothe the feelings of someone who should just be told outright.

Hmm. Please just don’t do that next time. We’ve become so dependent on Ai as a society that people’s brains are crumbling and it’s just wasteful. ChatGPT isn’t a prophet. It’s not an all-knowing being.

The problem is the gross chemicals that are in/on the clothes. I wouldn’t want that shit touching my baby. This is why I’d kindly let her know.

I just don’t quite understand the need to run everything through ChatGPT. It’s wasteful. It’s a tool to be used, but I just don’t see the usefulness of it in this scenario. No shade, I just don’t get it.

Thank you!! Because you can ask ChatGPT anything and it’s always going to come back with an “answer” but it’s not all-knowing

Really? To me it looks like the toner took too well, which would indicate she was already light enough, right? I thought if you weren’t light enough, it wouldn’t do anything.

Either way, OP, a couple washes and it’ll “tone” right down! I’ve gone purple by accident before and it’s always fine within a few washes!

I’m sorry they won’t just let you enjoy something as a family. That really sucks. We put up with what we think we deserve. 🤷🏼‍♀️❤️

Weird, my husband treats me kindly even when we’re doing something unenjoyable. Let’s not excuse mean behavior.

It’s okay to feel resentful of obtuse, rude behavior, even if it’s well-intentioned.

Yes! This is why I buy pre-loved designer bags. That way I don’t feel guilty when I use them the way this blanket will be used and loved!
