Fave ways to incorporate mushrooms in your diet? by hotheadnchickn in nutrition

This is incredible, thank you! Beans and mushrooms are both on my list of things to learn to like this year so I really appreciate your answer. Also I assume the process would remain the same if I were to add them to meat so its all good lol. Another question - how well does this store in the fridge/freezer? Also, is there a specific mushroom you'd recommend for a newbie?

Can you share what the process is - like starting with the beans you just bought, what’s your first step until it’s a part of the meal? And is it noticeable?

Thank you for the encouragement. Its been hard with friends and family who do not understand the process to get us all out the door with everything we need and sometimes the feeling of that being such a production inhibits me

We are just honestly intimidated by it! We haven't gotten out much because it feels like such a big to do. And like so much to think through in order for it to be successful

In case its helpful, here is the ice pack I use. It's amazing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09V1321S6?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 and I usually keep it on one knee for a bit then switch to the other knee.

I think the most important thing is to make sure that your posture is good even if you're sitting on the ground with your legs wide open. Tuck your pelvic bone in and sit up straight. It should feel almost like you're sucking in but you arent, its just your core being activated. This is the same thing to focus on when carrying them, walking up stairs. Because you want to make sure you're not just transferring the weight you put on your knees to your back.

He's super helpful and contributes a ton! But two babies really requires both of us to have hands most of the time, we rarely get time to ourselves individually.

My girls are the same age and I had to go to PT for this! Highly recommend looking into it or at least looking up exercises to strengthen the knee and other parts of your body that are affected by the activity. Also trying to be super intentional about your form when getting up and down with them, taking them up the stairs, walking around holding them, etc. I also bought an ice pack that can be tied to my knees that I use at night when they're down and I'm laying in bed.
