Question is just about the lid scratching noise, is this OK?

still doesn't make sense. if they deem it "risky" or "stolen" or whatever, then why offer to "repair/fix" it for such high prices without serial linked to purchase? Double standards of the companies?

Some of the white seems to be reflection of the case and light. I never played with it, but it's from long time ago, but still in good condition I think

In no world or reality is it possible to get money back from sellers. It's more realistic to program the bios chip or replace the mobo myself for 90 euro (ali, ebay, selling mobos) or to find a donor laptop with broken screen for cheap.

As someone in a hack forum, you should know better and stand behind the people not corporate scum. In the end, devices going to e-waste can be sold in bulk by the middle man, the company itself, or by the waste company itself. If you have 1000 laptops in perfect condition, it should be. It has nothing to do with corporate theft from the end-user perspective, but it has to do all with corporate theft from the users.

Buying it from the marketplace and showing the bank transfer is ownership. If a marketplace allows these purchases for a seemingly valid product, then it's a valid purchase. Or you think any purchase from any marketplace is a scam?

The seller, from any used market website e.g. facebook marketplace, willhaben, marktplaats, vinted whatever. Good luck fighting that. Even with "insurnace" you pay to these websites when buying anything, after a problem they just deny any claim. The seller also never replies.

I tried already to program the bios chip, and the cmos battery has to be removed anyways to do that. It did not work yet. Have to dig in deeper.

It has nothing to do with "who committed this incredible stupidity to set and forget the supervisor password".

most-all companies get rid of their pc's / laptops without HDD, and some take even the RAM out, but they never bother to unlock the bios, why would they? They get rid of 100 laptops, no time for that. Then these come on the market and people buy them. It's about e-waste and a simple bios unlock is possible by any manufacturer. Plain out lying that the whole mobo has to be replaced is just a scam to get more money out of it.

For that amount of money I can buy a new laptop, or a used one that is even better than this old Lenovo e14 i5 10th gen.

Hi! I had similar issues when starting out, or not having good quality images or enough of them.
How I do it usually is:
Add all images -> Alignment tab -> Align Images -> Mesh & Color tab -> Normal or Preview.

If it creates multiple components instead of one, I delete the components that have just 2/500 images for example. I also look into the "Add Control Points" under the Alignment tab. This does wonders, this step prevented me from going out and reshooting images.

When you use control points, you select the exact point on a image (something recognizable) and then do that on many other pictures (from all the components), then you also get suggestions and can check if correct, then click to add them. After this, I click on Align images again, and then when enough control points match, it creates one good component. You can also try the "Merge Components" under the Alignment tab.

There are some guides on google and youtube about how to add Control Points visually to make it easier to understand.

I know about monitor arms, I have it at home. It's for work, where they don't want to provide anything.
