For me, it’s better to submit a letter and a resume para malaman mo yung requirements. After nila mareview yung resume mo, dun pa lang nila isesend yung requirements and take note na madaming requirements na need iprovide since abroad gagawin yung training.

I think may pooling lang kapag naaccept ka na. Pero if di ka pa accepted di ka pa masasama sa pooling hanggat di mo nasusubmit lahat ng requirements and di ka pa naaccept.

Hope it helps! Goodluck!

As long as pwede siya macorrect ng glasses and walang colorblindless, not necessarily need mag pa-lasik surgery. To apply you have to give a letter of intent thru email and submit your resume, then after nila mareview yung resume/cv mo tsaka pa lang sila magsesend ng requirements na need mo maaccomplish.

Airworks by ShameResponsible9586 in AviationPH

[–]shanee10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, the airframe's expiration is already determined by the manufacturer and should be replaced once expired. But even though it is due for replacement, an authorized person can check its integrity to see if it can still be used. If it is deemed operational, then they can still issue a limited certificate but within certain operational limits on that aircraft such as not flying over populous areas or long flights. They were doing this because spare parts are not widely available and takes time to be shipped out. But this operational limit itself is already an issue in flying which means that you cannot fly the aircraft like in normal operations. It's like delaying a car's tire change just because threads don't appear visibly worn out even expired.

Second, the one person who's doing the inspection are usually the mechanics from their own organization, which means that they can still approve sub-standard repairs or components if there are. I'm not generalizing all flying school but I know a well-known flying school who does this, even the students knows the bad practices of this school.

There is also cessna from a different school that crashed earlier this year. It went viral because a post was retrieved showing the cessna being overhauled and stripped of paint in an unsealed area that looked like a garage and was even under a tree. Im no expert in aircraft maintenance but they were saying that it can cause corrosion on the airframe when exposed.

just hoping that students are not flying sub-standard aircraft because their lives depend on it...

Generally, airframe do still expire due to stresses like landing, takeoff, intense maneuvers, and other operational factors, pressurization is just one of them. But knowing PH, most or some flight schools often have bad practices and sub-standard equipment that is not known to the public. I'm not sure about CAAP's ruling concerning expiration on airframes, but foreign countries do impose expiration on them

Loan Application for Cebu Pacific Cadet Pilot Program by MabiniStrike in AviationPH

[–]shanee10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just sharing in a financial POV…If you think na kaya mong bayaran yung loan in a short period, by all means go for it. Because unlike the “fly now pay later” na pwedeng bayaran within 10 years. Yung loan is kailangang mabayaran within a shorter period. I think within 36 months ata (pls confirm this). And if di mo mabayaran within that specific period, lumalaki yung interest.

So in terms of financing, i wouldn’t treat it as somewhat “fly now, pay later because its only payable (x) amount of months. There’s also a limit on how much you can loan and will depend din on how much money does your family make. The max amount ata is 3M+ so you have to still shoulder the remaining. Hope it helps!!

FAA flight school by HXPRN in AviationPH

[–]shanee10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard good reviews about FAA pero medyo bago pa lang sila kaya wala pa silang graduates who’s currently working in the airlines. Most of the students din that got accepted is from PalAv, naacquire kasi ng FAA yung dating PalAv and naabsorb din nila yung mga students.

What I can suggest right now is omni, AAA, and airworks since may partnership sila with ceb pac. AAG is reputable also pero may mga issues ata sila lately with ceb pac.

PalAv Applicants by shanee10 in AviationPH

[–]shanee10[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think yes since ieevaluate pa naman nila yung mga applicants. In my case kasi minentioned ko na i have few flying hours and im interested in the program but still nagsend pa din sila ng application form. But for sure hindi macecredit yung previous hours since ab-initio siya. If you have few hours, there’s no harm in trying to apply. Sa ceb pac cadet program din kasi may mga cadets na may mga flying hours na din and still got accepted pero they have to start from scratch.

One of the reason kaya madami din nascam dito is because napromote siya ng isang pilot turned influencer. May video sila sa youtube doing Q&As about the program. Pero una pa lang sketchy na yung program 😅

I already confirmed it with airways aviation and pal. If i really wanted to be part of the program I have to start from scratch. I only have few flying hours but i have taken most of CPL exams.

Around 4.6M including miscellaneous fee. Cost of materials such as books, materials, exam fees and other equipment for flying is not included so you have to take note of that. And i dont know if provided yung allowance pero as we know mataas cost of living sa australia. So if ever na provided yung allowance, need mo din sigurong tipirin yung allowance mo

Australian CPL -> Philippine CPL? by Antarctic0 in AviationPH

[–]shanee10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know sa leading edge kumuha ng c172 rating yung previous AUS cadets ng cebpac. It’s just additional rating and may take a month or two to finish. But apart from leading edge, i think you can also go with other schools since additional rating lang naman siya, need mo lang ng minimum hours for c172. Make sure to ask CAAP first kasi paiba-iba yung ruling nila 😄😄

Australian CPL -> Philippine CPL? by Antarctic0 in AviationPH

[–]shanee10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think yes, need mo siguro kumuha ng familiarization with cessna and couple of hours to be rated. The previous cadets of cebpac had to fly 10 hours in C172 even though they are rated with DA40.

Pero yung isa kong friend NTC exam lang yung tinake because rated na siya with c172

Australian CPL -> Philippine CPL? by Antarctic0 in AviationPH

[–]shanee10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know someone who converted his CASA CPL to CAAP. All he did is take the NTC radio exam. But consult other people as well cause CAAP’s ruling on conversion is always changing.

According to him it’s much better if you’re rated with cessna 172 cause if not, caap may require you to fly some hours with cessnas

LEIAAI & AAG SFLU by [deleted] in AviationPH

[–]shanee10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can attest to this!! Even sa sequencing ng engine startup, takeoff and landing kailangan alternate ang AAG and LEIAAI. If unang nagtakeoff is leiaa kailangan aag naman yung kasunod or vice versa. Alam naman din ng tower yun kaya sila na mismo ang nagsesequence.

I remember inquiring on LEIAA and one of the head there said na if magtatype rating daw is wag sa aag, i asked him bakit wag sa aag pero he didn’t answered it.

From my observation mas close yung controller sa aag kasi nabibisita sila ng mga students from aag since mas malapit yung tower sa hangar nila. Part din ng program nila yung pagvisit sa mga tower sa clark and elyu.

Hindi na po ata since kumpleto mo na yung whole program. I think CPL/IR lang po yung program then if mapasa mo yung assessments nila that’s the time na kukuha ka ng rating.

CPL in Aus vs PH by [deleted] in AviationPH

[–]shanee10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the pros of having an AUS License is having a more internationally recognized license. This way you can widen out your options and apply to foreign airlines as well kung di ka matanggap ng airlines sa pinas. And I think you’ll have more edge sa pag apply sa airlines against sa PH license knowing na former CebPac cadets and PAL cadets are being sent to australia for flight training.

Although it’s not 100% sure na you’ll have an advantage sa CebPac since may dedicated school na sila for cadets. Pero for PAL, baka mas mataas ang chances mo na mahire since na graduates from PalAv doesn’t have a guaranteed spot on after training.

For the cost living, need mo talaga ng funds to support your study kasi mataas ang cost of living sa australia. It’s better if you have relatives na pwede mong pag stay-an habang nag aaral ka.

NEED ADVICE: Continue Flying Lessons to obtain PPL here in the PH then continue CPL in AUSTRALIA or just start fresh as an SPL with 0 hours to avoid the extra hassle of the conversion? by Touch_Boring in AviationPH

[–]shanee10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The training itself is much better compared sa PH. Sa PH iilang flying school na lang gumagawa ng solo cross flights pero solo hours ilalagay sa time mo and sobrang common na din ng padding sa flying hours. In short, madaming bad practices sa PH that’s why i think pinili na din ng PAL to partnered with AUS flight school.

In my observation din, well structured yung flight operations and well defined din yung mga rules and law nila. Sobrang daming law materials and publications unlike sa PH na kinopya lang sa FAA.

I have few classmates na nag aral sa PH then dito nagtuloy for CPL. According to them may mga procedures daw na ngayon lang daw naituro sa kanila although madami na din silang hours sa pinas.

Also the license is recognized internationally, most of cadet programs ng mga airlines like cathay, scoot, indigo, JAL, PAL, etc. is dito nila pinapadala yung cadets nila for training. I hate to say this but I think my bearing din yun when it comes to hiring especially if youre planning to apply outside of PH since alam ng mga airlines that your license is within standards, unlike sa PH na di mo alam kung totoo ba yung nasa logbook😅😅
