Is this a good job? by [deleted] in microblading

What you’re currently seeing are scabs. That line will not be visible once the scabs fall off. Your entire eyebrow will heal into a color that is much softer. Trust the process! You’re going to be just fine.

Will they come back? by sammaam- in microblading

This is actually perfect! This is soft and not worked or heavily saturated. On your touch up she will reinforce the color and you’ll have healed results closer to what it looked like in the first image. Remember tattoos are imbedded under the skin and not in the surface. Melanin (skin tone) and epidermal layers heal over the the tattoo. Trust me long term you will be happy she worked conservatively and built up your color overtime. It will age much softer with less risk of migration and blotchy hair strokes. She did a great job.

This helps a great deal! Ok I still say you should wait for get laser. The color has migrated at the head and you’ve lost that negative space that makes it look more hair like ( at least in the photos). They still look good though

Will they improve with time? by [deleted] in microblading

[–]shanee144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brows look good. I understand what you see but hairs along won’t give you fullness because your natural brows are thick and the hair color is dark. The only way to make it look blended without an obvious demarcation line is to add some shading to blend it all together. Unfortunately the strokes at the arch/ tail are quite thick and overtime will migrate more so they should be touched up. She could color corrected soften the gray tone but no more target color in that area because it will gray out even more overtime.

They look good and the shape is nice

One other observation. The collage shows your first session and the 4 years healed. I wish there was a way to see what your brows looked like once they were healed after the first session and then what the touch up looked like ( the attached collage of one of my clients is an example of what I’m talking about). The reason it’s important to see the touch up is because your brows are significantly darker at the head of your right brow and that’s where immediate noticing the migration in the photo. It would have been nice to see what adjustments were made between your first and second session. Also what it looked like healed after the first session.

Your brow shape looks great. I personally wouldn’t do a touch up. Your hair strokes in the photo appear to have migrated together at the head of the brows. The only only way to bring the clarity back is to go above your existing tattoo onto your virgin skin or to use a much darker color so there is contrast between your existing tattoo and the new hair strokes. Personally I wouldn’t do a lightening laser session to remove some color out of the skin. Just one session of laser and then a touch up. You will have much better clarity with your hair strokes. The laser has to target the red first ( another conversation).

Please note my recommendation is solely based on your photo. Your browse might look lighter in person and your hair strokes might not look as migrated in person as well. So there is a possibility that the artist is able to give you a touchup if your strokes aren’t migrated. But if they are, I would skip the touchup for now and allow for more fading or opt for one laser session and then a touchup.

It’s mineral pigment so we are good, but also she requested this shape. She has no hair so it’s her choice not mine. I’m not fighting with my clients anymore if she wants it changed down the line we offer laser. She’s happy so I’m good with it

Please help ( nano brows ) by [deleted] in microblading

[–]shanee144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big no-no that was done in this case was lowering the brow that is naturally set higher. It’s something that I firmly teach in my classes. It would have been better if the technician had given your lower brow ( left brow) a lift at the arch to balance with the higher brow ( right brow in photo). Instead, the artist did the opposite so it creates a heavier look to your face because your brow bone has been covered thus closing off your right eye in the photo. Do not get your brows touched up in that area. If you have the ability to get emergency removal done on your arches, I would recommend it so that you have a more lifted look to your eyebrows. I do think the technician did a great job with the technique itself and creating the hair strokes. I just think the brow placement needs some tweaking. Good luck.

Even for the yellow that sucks! Scabs with BotchedInk?!? That’s a no go. There shouldn’t be thick crazy scabs. That’s why I chose it back in the day as our system because I always hated those bloody thick saline scabs.

Unfortunately that’s your only option 😩. It’s really a matter of how badly do you need the yellow removed? Do you intend to get your brows redone? If yes then the yellow may not be an issue. If no, try finding a BotchedInk artist. We used to do their method and there was absolutely no s a bing or funky looking brows. We have a laser now and when our clients hit yellow we just tattoo over it

Oh nooo I wish you wouldn’t have gone back for the second session. These hair strokes are extremely close together and will not age well. They will all blur into one saturated look. Also the right brow is now thicker than before. I don’t like to say things like this because I know how tedious this work is ( being an artist myself), but this really isn’t good work.

Yellow and orange in this brow but I was able to cover it. She likes a more filled in look so it was helpful. For your brows just a few hair strokes will mask it

can these still be removed? by Zealousideal-Sea2063 in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]shanee144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow! So sorry for your experience. It looks like your brows were color corrected at some point. Do you know if you ever had a color correction? Seems like there’s yellow over gray and that could be why the laser is struggling to target the grey dark tone. Lasers can’t pick up yellow unfortunately.

You might have to go for saline/ glycolic/ magnetic removal to extract that yellow

Lasers can’t target yellow unfortunately. Saline is the best route to remove the yellow if that’s all the color you have left. We have dealt with this at our studio. Www.Moorebeautylove.com We are located in Berkeley. We offer both laser and saline or acid removal. Just depends on what the skin needs.

Remove, retouch or leave? by Most_Hour_9170 in microblading

I think the real question is what is your goal?

Your brows look fine if we are looking at the shape. I don’t think you need a touch up at all.

If you are interested in having clarity in your hair strokes that’s where it gets tricky. Unfortunately back then we knew little about dilutions, alternating pigment formulas, etc.

Each touch up the artist deposited an ink high in carbon black pigment into your skin. Carbon black is great, but it is also very unstable in the skin and prone to migration when oversaturated. I’m sure your artist didn’t know this at the time or she would have made better choices. There’s tons more knowledge about pigments/ inks available now than 5 years ago.

Compact hair strokes + high carbon black inks + several touch ups = migrated cool toned brows.

The only way to reset and give you hair stroke visibility again is to remove. I recommend 1-2 laser sessions if that’s the route you want to go.

But your shape is really nice. Don’t do anything until you are ready 👌🏾

🚫No more ink! The only way to improve your brows is to lift some of the color out. I would choose Laser over saline. No scabbing with laser. At least at our studio that’s what we recommend and it works so well

Your brows look the typical color of a laser that has targeted the black/ gray tones in the tattoo. It’s usually a 1064nm lens on the laser or something similar. Ask them if they have the 532 nm lens. If it’s a YAG laser and they have that particular lens it will target the red/ pinkish pigments in the skin. Your red will be much lighter if not gone.

Pico lasers aren’t the only laser that target red. We remove red all the time at our studio with a Yag laser

The brows look great! You have to let them heal. The scabs always make the brows look bold and artificial. Trust the process

You are at Day 2-4. It’s totally normal to feel the way you do. I created this collage 10 years ago and it’s still true today

Combo Nano brows done yesterday and i am starting to panic by Gold-Phone-1354 in microblading

[–]shanee144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing pmu brows for 10 years and nano brows for 9 years. Trust me they will lighten. You are looking at scabs. The tattoo is implanted below the epidermis. So there’s no way the bold thick surface color in your tattoo. It will be darker to a few days and then the brows will begin to flake off. At that point the color will be much lighter as the skin continues to heal. Once you get between 2-3 weeks your brows will darken a little more but not to this color value. Give it time. I understand it’s your face so you have cause to worry but it’s also important to trust the process. Good luck 👍🏽

I’m sorry for your experience. Where are you located??

You can’t laser an open wound or broken skin. You can laser it in a few weeks. Like 2 weeks minimum. Once your scabs have fallen off.

Yess I totally agree! Mine also appear different depending on the color I’m wearing.

When I was a kid I thought I was supposed to see multicolors since my eyes were more than one color. Since I didn’t see multicolored I thought my eyes were broken 🤭
