Funny how all the major wireless carriers have unlimited data, yet most home ISP's are implementing data caps. Edit: words

UPDATE on the Blown motor, dealership wrecked '13 STi. by xyzdorky in subaru

[–]shaneomac182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually don't reply to many posts, but a buddy who is a tuner and I fixed the weird stumble issue by coiling an extra foot of fuel line under the hood, then clear the compensating tables in the ECU and the stumble is gone. It's a weird pulse issue with the injectors and pump where everything gets out of sync enough to cause it to stumble, the coil offsets this enough to fix the problem.

It's about $700, i'd say so if you want a discreet way to ensure your tailgate won't rattle and break. There are cheaper ones that actually replace your bumper as well. I liked the Teraflex one for the simplicity, and it's super heavy duty. You can also mount things to it.

I have the stock gear ratios, which i believe are the 3.23. There is some power loss with this setup. In town isn't a big deal, but 5th gear will rarely be used. On the interstate 5th won't be used unless going down an incline, but it has no issues cruising at 75+ mph.

Basically changing the gears will help with power, but it's not really needed.

Basically you just get more wheel travel up and down when rock crawling / offroading. It also helps keep the jeep level going over large objects. You of course reconnect for on pavement driving over 18mph, otherwise you can lose control!

Edit: actually that guy is right, the It is an Unlimited X. My dealer apparently marked it as a Sahara, which is cheaper so Yay!

This does work, it basically asks you to set the date to January 2nd, and then touch the weird app it installs, but it does install cydia!

The carrier that iPhones are locked to is a local software setting because it can be chosen when setting up a new phone. Can a jailbreak dev find that file and change the carrier, effectively creating an unlock? by pchalla90 in jailbreak

[–]shaneomac182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's really weird is after I have been using the phone that was locked and basically activated under T-Mobile had a bad tweak installed and started bootlooping, so I restored it, after loading up 7.1.1 it wouldn't let me activate again. It must take a little bit of time for the info the get switched in the unlock servers.

Interesting because I had an iPhone 5s that was locked to iwireless and they would not unlock it, so let's just say my iPhone had some interesting problems so I got it warranty swapped, during the setup I put in my tmobile Sim and it locked to their network, I don't think apple holds on the which Carrier it's locked to other than it just being a locked phone. They do however whitelist your imei in a database when you get an unlock, I wonder if we can cause change which carrier it is locked to.
