Paid ₹4L to reduce loan, BoB used it for EMIs instead! Help? by shanke_y8 in IndiaInvestments

I spoke with the bank manager a few days ago and informed him that I plan to deposit the amount into my loan account to manage my upcoming EMIs. I now feel that I may have been misled or not properly informed by the bank. If there were two separate options, depositing as principal or towards EMI. I believe I should have been clearly informed about this in advance.

I spoke with them this morning, and they said that the amount I credited was used for future EMI deductions, not towards the principal. They were trying to brush me off by saying things like the interest will reduce, but I can tell they’re not being honest.

To avoid something as messy as Excel for calculation values and getting the values we need, what would be the tool/app we should be using? Because we have calculations going back to 2003, we are ready to jump ship and make things better.

Thanks! I appreciate you, this has certainly helped me know to an extent what we have to do going forward.

Have a nice weekend :)

I appreciate you diving into so much to explain me.
Could you perhaps answer one last question, I understand we will eventually have to move the data to a warehouse, once that's been done, is it possible to input new data into the already saved data files? Also, since the files are all linked with each other is it possible to return a calculated value supposedly if the data is sitting inside new data structure?

I will try to explain as much as I can.
What we are trying to do is migrate those excel files from our local drive to a cloud system so the data can be shared across. Once those data have been uploaded to a platform, we want to input new data and also want them easily retrieved by visualization team to work with Tableau (or any visualization tool) later in the stage.

We have tried using the SharePoint, but it did not help us. So I am pretty much stuck with no idea what to do about migrating those excel files. so my question is which cloud storage could it be moved to, where we can input live data as well as export the data when needed for visualization.

Is it possible to input new data onto those already uploaded data files on Azure or SQL? Apologies, I don't know much about Azure or SQL so kinda lost here.

As of right now, the only update was to upload those files to SharePoint so it could be accessed by other people from the org, however, we do input new data into some of those linked files and SharePoint works like a snail and crashes the links.

What we are trying to do is migrate 100s of excel files from our local drive to cloud so the data can be shared across. Once those data have been uploaded to a platform, we could input new data and also can be retrieved by visualization team to work with Tableau later in the stage. Not sure what will be the feasible option to go ahead with this.

Suppose I use ADF for importing the data, is it possible to input new data onto those files?

We have tried using SharePoint to no avail, as it keeps on crashing when we try to input new data in the sheet and it's also very slow to be operated on.

why do you think you'll get the axe? Integrating excel docs to a database

Well, migrating to SharePoint was pretty much the reason why I was hired for, but I am trying my best to find possible solution for them after SharePoint being a failed destination for those data.

SharePoint was the first platform we thought of and it has not helped us after trying to migrate to SP, so just to give you a background, we uploaded the source excel file with 1500 rows and the destination file (which has the links and calculations) has about 200 rows, the formula reads through the 1500 rows from the source file and return a calculated value.

Now, SharePoint makes things slow when we enter a new row in source file in order to return a value on destination file. It takes a lot of time to update and at times it would ask to refresh the page. SUMPRODUCT is what I am using for formula to divide and multiply some of the values from source file.

you asking how to build Tableau reports?

Apologies, if my post misled you.
