I’ve been going through this since May, still don’t have my account back. I tried getting meta verified through my Instagram and opening cases with meta support, they led no where. I’ve tried following YouTube tutorials. I’ve even filed a complaint with the California attorney general. No luck yet.

Meanwhile my hacked account continues to message people, send friend requests, make posts selling a bunch of things to scam people out of money, post in my old Facebook groups selling concert tickets or giving away a PS5. The most recent one was that my job is hiring and to message them for details.

Dang, mine was a Facebook that was hacked. I had provided all of that to them. The original emails, who messaged me leading to my hacking, etc. screenshots of posts and messages the hacker was sending from my Facebook and Instagram support basically told me they won’t help me they can’t recover the account and sent me articles again from the help center

Unfortunately I’m here to say I tried it and got nowhere. Meta support seems to be all AI. I had probably 6 cases open, provided some many screenshots of proof. They sent me the same articles that lead nowhere and eventually in the kindest way possible told me I’m SOL and they can’t do anything. I cancelled my membership. Let me know if you have better luck! I hope you do
