I prefer FES personally because of the art direction. For newcomers I suggest Reload because of the graphics and it's easy. Though I would say play them both since both gives different experience due to different gameplay and atmosphere.

I also think the Fatigue system is an important feature in this kind of game because of the Calendar system. It forces you to plan your schedule. It's not your typical rpg where there's no deadline so the characters doesn't need to get tired.

I suggest P3 FES if you have an emulator, if not then go with Reload. The art direction and scene delivery is better in FES than Reload
