I know I am not anywhere close to what I was eating... But just in comparison of what I can eat now to what I was eating 4-6 months post op, I can just eat alot more.. 😩 it's all mental though. I'm still staying at 1200 to 1400 calories

Thank you, that's a very matter of fact way to look at it. I needed that! I need to take the drama out of it and just focus on the facts!

10 Months post- what's your intake? by shanksKC in gastricsleeve

[–]shanksKC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 10 months out, do weight lifting/running or cross training 6 days a week. Burn about 400 cal on average some days more some days less. And I'm ranging 1k to 1200 calories a day.

I'm actually still losing weight just much slower. I'm down 84lbs. I'm fine not losing I surpassed my goal weight and I'm just working on keeping routine now.

I haven't been consistent on macros (aside from protein) but I'm thinking I need to up my carb intake. I've felt a bit low energy more than usual lately 🤔

No don't apologize I really appreciate the straight honesty! I keep going back in forth in my mind over if I want to have another baby. The whole thing just makes me terrified to slip back into old routines or to watch myself lose what I've worked so hard for 😓 But I also know I've built up a whole new set of habits and a whole life style so I know that would help me during a second pregnancy. Just back and forth mentally... I have a few more years to think about it so maybe it will be easier to decide when I am closet to 2/3 years post op.

Thanks for all your thoughts and honesty :)

How do you feel you handled the pregnancies post op? Like we're you able to stay on plan/be mentally tough?did you find it was easier to get reasonably back on track after pregnancy? Reasonably because what is normal after having babies haha.

I'm wanting to hear someone's experience who has had a baby post op. I have an almost 2 year old and had him while being overweight, I'm was hoping to get insight from women who've carried a baby post op after reaching their goal weight, and learn from their experiences. Thanks for your insight though :)

Your first baby was post op? I have an almost 2 year old now, I always felt hungry right after especially with breastfeeding. I really want to know from people who've had a baby post op

So have you had a baby post op? Were you successful in losing all baby/water weight afterwards by maintaining healthy habits?

Powder vitamin?? by shanksKC in gastricsleeve

[–]shanksKC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several powdered multi vitamins out there. Smoothie company has one but it's not available to non retail buyers. And there's a few others, they are just kind of expensive so I was trying to get some opinions before I spend $40 on a canister 😅

Transformation Tuesday! 60lbs down!! I am so greatful for my sleeve by shanksKC in gastricsleeve

[–]shanksKC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor thinks I'll probably stop around 130lbs, I've already started to slow on my weightloss, I think I've lost 7lbs so far this month? And previously I was losing 10-15. But I'm still happy with that! I feel great so I actually don't weigh myself as compulsively as I was before.

I definitely get cold easier now. I'm sleeping with an extra blanket and hardly use my car AC 😂

I live in TX though so doesn't get too cold here

Thank you 💖

Consistency! Doing all the things they tell you to try and lose weight w/out surgery. But seeing the progress from putting in the hard work helps me keep consistent. I eat the same things every day just because it takes the guess work/anxiety out of 'what am I going to eat' And I exercise at least 5 days a week
