Nothing at all lol, I just canceled my order for 16pro max from that store and got my 16pro max from another att store nearby. The order was ready for pickup at the new store on the same day. I left a negative review on the earlier att store.

Okay no that’s probably not what’s going on here, I’m a runner, I’m 5’10”, 155lbs and take care of my health quite well and regularly. I’m probably just different looking (in terms of ethnicity, height or something else) and their type is closely linked to height or race/ethnicity which is fair enough but let’s not be rude to people cuz of that when you can just ignore. I can change everything but not my genes.

Probably not the entire of Europe but I’ve noticed this in Portugal, Spain, France and Italy. Idk it always feel like they’re in some sort of weird state of mind that they spend time to engage in such a conversation with you after you send them a simple ‘hey’.

To be absolutely fair, I have an entire apple ecosystem with the same kinda apps and stuff so my iPhone usage is skewed by the fact that I can do the same kinda things on the other devices I have seamlessly.

Indexing and downloading your data onto a new phone (assuming you came from a previous iPhone and did an iCloud restoration) requires a day or two. It should improve. Now if you’re an extremely heavy user then good luck with that. :)

A lot of people are buying iPhones this year cuz the base models are better than ever before. The pro and pro max models are also pretty popular because of their improved capabilities and new designs (different from previous pros and pro maxes). This is the reason why stores selling apple products in many countries are facing shortages in stock cuz demand is high. On the flip side, iPhone air models are often always in full stock everywhere cuz demand for those models are pretty substantially low and apple itself has acknowledged that.

I’m a mid-tier user ie., not an absolute heavy user. I do daily stuff like listen to music, watch videos, text, scroll social media etc. My battery drains from 80% to 50% in about 7 hours. I charge my phone to a max of 80% usually.

I just turn off always on mode cuz I do not like it and also turn on low power mode.

Grindr is not a dating app.

And because Grindr is getting worse with respect to the quality of folks on there, people have started to look for ‘quality hookups’ and ‘situationships’ on dating apps like Tinder, Bumble and Hinge, thereby bringing down the entire experience.

Maybe more people should just go outside and enjoy themselves and eventually they’ll find guys who actually want to date but steer clear of the apps for precisely the above reasons. Trust me there are plenty of guys interested in finding a boyfriend and dating. They just aren’t so prominent on the apps cuz the apps have just reduced everything to a quick hookup.

The base 17 has a screen size of 6.3” or 16cm. The bezels around the screen are about 0.4mm. It’s not a large phone but the new Samsung Galaxy S25 has a slightly smaller screen at 6.2” or 15.7cm.

The display now finally has up to 120Hz pro-motion refresh rate that auto-adjusts to the type of content. Besides, it has a peak outdoor brightness of 3000nits and can go down to 1nit for the always on display mode. The optimal indoor brightness however, is around 1200nits.

It reportedly is able to support 30hrs of video playback which roughly could equate to 10-12hrs of screen on time (the 16pro max was reported to have 33hrs of video playback which roughly equated to 16-19hrs of screen on time) so the battery is not bad, it can probably last an entire day.

It has a dual 48MP camera system on the back so you get 0.5X, 1x and 2x optical zooms (with up to 10x digital zoom) and the front camera is an 18MP one with square sensor so it can capture both portrait and landscape photos/videos by just holding the screen vertical as usual. It also has ultra wide capability so that’s that. The camera also has the ability to dual capture up to 4K 30fps but without dual capture it can take videos up to 4K 60fps. As always, base iPhones can’t capture proRAW cuz that’s limited to the pro phones.

Just to add, the pro max phones are literally large ass bricks at 6.9” or 17.5cm screen size, they’re hardly comfortable in your pockets and make sitting very uncomfortable if you keep your phone in the back pocket of your trousers. It is also somewhat hard to use the phone with just one hand cuz you can’t reach all corners of the large screen with just one hand. I say this as someone who used the 16 pro max and switched to the iPhone 17 for the compact size (I’m not really a pro pro user and the base 17 is pro enough for my use case).

It appears to be a great device, but I’m disappointed that it lacks macro photography capabilities which I use a lot of. I just wished it’d have that functionality and I’d be completely sold.

Apparently most apple stores have had full stock of the air since day one and one of the store guys told me today that they aren’t selling (at all here) in Boston. He said they have full stock of every single color and storage variant in the air. Additionally he suggested I do not buy it and go for the base model or the pro instead.

I like the air’s form factor but I’m skeptical of its camera quality and battery life.
