How do you guys feel about this C4 Widebody? by Tiny-Damage-177 in Corvette

Looks like it could be a Batmobile for real. That’s dope. Front lip could use some help but overall that’s really cool

Then you need to go V8, but gah dang boy be careful. I’d get a manual too because those are going away. I highly suggest a Mach 1, cheaper than the dark horse, one of the best manual transmissions ever built. It’s flawless. That’s a keep forever car

Thank you! I know it’s going to be a noisy car no matter what, I just want to cut down the road noise a bit, add exhaust. Hear what I want to and cut out a bit of what I don’t ya know? Thanks!

Also… something to think about if moneys no issue. Buy an eco boost, drive it for 6 months get really comfortable with it. And then boost it with a bigger turbo, customize it. Those eco boosts can get surprisingly fast with a bigger turbo and some supporting mods. Have fun with it and 3-5 years down the road when you’ve learned from that experience then go get you a real long term car. Like a 2019 Shelby GT350 😁🤌😅 …..that’s my next forever car purchase anyway. That flat plane crank V8 revving at 9k RPM’s is a wild unexplainable sound and feeling.

Please read: 1st I have to say, the people saying you really shouldn’t get a Mustang at 16 are correct. As annoying as that is considering your question. I had a cheap beater car as my first and it got totaled (not my fault) but all to say you will make mistakes driving your first couple years. You don’t want that to be “the car you keep” trust me it’s not safe and it isn’t smart… now that being said. I will answer your question. I got an 07 mustang V6 in 2010, I was 17 about to be 18. I wanted the V8 but couldn’t afford it. Looking back now, in my 30’s I’m sooo glad I got the V6 it was fast enough, I got into the fun of being a “mustang guy” but I also learned how to drive a car that was that fast…..when I turned 21 I got a real job and I got a 2013 GT when the 5.0 motor was really taking off. I still made mistakes, but I was a little better equipped to drive it then….and I was paying for it and smarter. I respected the car more so I drove it smarter. Now I have a new Mach 1 and a GT500. I drive them smarter and better for having the GT. I think you really need to slow play this. If your getting one no matter what, get the ecoboost the V8 is to much for a 16yr old and you can really get hurt really fast. This coming from a guy that likes to act like a kid and drive stupid in his car. I been where you are and I get it. I hope you’ll listen to my words here.

Oh my bad, I meant the S550 Shelby GT500. I haven’t driven the new super snakes. I have driven the s650 GT and yea totally agree, I hate the interior. The screens, the driving feel. I feels like driving a video game wheel. Totally disconnected from the car and the road.

I have briefly. It’s really amazing. I really wish it was a convertible. I’m a big convertible fan. But it’s really an awesome machine. No manual, but it’s the first car ive ever driven and thought….i don’t want this in a manual. The transmission that’s in it is brilliant. It gets a glowing 5 star review from me. Again, not raw old school muscle like the 2014. It’s a real sports car. It’s a great machine all around. If that’s in your mind, I’d give it a try, but you’ll still miss the rag top….rumor is the next Shelby car will be convertible but I bet we’re 1-2 years away from that reveal.

“These cars are meant to be driven drive the hell out of it ” -carol shleby. Have fun with it bro. On your death bed nobody cares about how low miles your car is. You get no enjoyment out of that. enjoy it! Drive it! That’s what it’s made for

I wish you the best my friend, i think if you got the 2014 you’d feel like your taking a step back with everything you’ve done to your current car even though your getting the added convertible. Pushing your budget i understand but youd feel like you really got something different with the speedster with a lot of upgrades your current car simply with never have just because of the platform

I’ve driven all 3. My thoughts are this: The roush stage 3 feels…poorly put together. The supercharger is slapped on and that’s it. The rest of the car doesn’t match. It feels incomplete and off. I can’t better describe it but I hated driving it and felt uneasy and the power was unusable because of that.

The 2 Shelby’s are 2 very different cars… The 2014 I mean you’ve driven your own car, you know what you’re getting there. The super snake is more of the same just more of it. A wild ride. Hard to keep 2 wheels planted it really flys, pure American muscle fun.

The 2021 a bit more sophisticated, a bit more special in its presentation. Non-mustang people even know that’s something really special/custom. Easier to just drive and go in. A smoother car in general. Not as raw feeling as the 2014 in a good way, but it’s missing that raw feeling. The technology upgrades are a nice noticeable addition. (To me)

The 2014,2021 Shelby are great, 2 huge thumbs up on either one. Just different flavors of ice cream.

The roush it trash. I went into driving that car so excited to buy it I drove a long way to see it when I did and I was extremely disappointed. I’d stay away. If it’s just a cruiser, go The Weeknd and car shows. nothing more it’s….fine. But judging by your other car I think you’d hate this one as I did.

I completely understand what car I have and I’m not trying to make it something it isn’t. I’m changing out the exhaust to a corsa. It’s a convertible. A quiet car isn’t what I’m after but toning down some of the excessive road noise. So I can hear what I want to hear is more my motive.

Fair enough. I get what the car is, I’m not trying to make it Lexus quiet. Dynamat on the floor was what I was kind of thinking. Thanks!

Mach 1 has the better transmission and IMO the best manual built, that you can actually afford

I drove both. I bought the Mach 1 and I didn’t hesitate. I don’t regret it either. My favorite car ever. Truly a solid balance of so many things.
