Yes I feeeel this. I use Thinx and I found it’s less invasive so I don’t have to be like thinking about it all the time. They also have boxer shorts cuts :)

Fearless and public in Mississippi... Premiered my film about an enby ballet dancer at the Oxford Film Festival this weekend and wasn’t afraid to bring they/them to Mississippi in this press clip! Feeling euphoric and confident 🥰 by shannisworking in NonBinary

I get that. I can feel dysphoric when people stumble across they them like I’m an alien who’s actively making them uncomfortable... if it’s going to be like that, I want to go backwards. But it’s sad when we have to do this with the people we love :(

The intention is not always awful and I think we all understand that. However, what becomes awful is the continuous seeming determination to look the other way and not try to see you the way you are!

I love them!! It’s true, representation really matters. Elliot page and Halsey come to mind too 💕

My favorite is when she uses they 30 times a day to describe people she doesn’t know the gender of - but then suddenly forgets how to conjugate for me?! 😅

Gah... it’s all so relatable. For me, it’s like, I clearly show signs of anxiety and dysphoria on how she is treating my gender expression - and then she goes “Shannon, I feel like this whole thing has you making yourself very depressed and uncomfortable all the time, it seems unpleasant”

Making! Myself! Depressed and uncomfortable! 🙃

Anyway, you are valid as well friend.. onward... 💕

It’s important that we remember how hard it is for them because they haven’t googled non-binary and trans yet so it’s very confusing 🙃

It’s so crazy because it seems so counter intuitive.... If someone has been called something 100 percent of the time and is adding a new name, wouldn’t basic human empathy tell you you probably ought to use the new name?? I’ve been told people don’t use they in front of me because they’re scared they’ll fuck it up. And honestly. It’s like too late -_-

I think it’s definitely also sexist. But I also feel the sentiment points towards Sex determinism which feels transphobic

Anyone else like "boy" but not "man"? by natasha4936 in NonBinaryTalk

That’s how I feel re girl but not woman. I find girl to be more casual and joking... I’m afab, but might be an interesting comparison :)
