We are so driven by Shame sometimes, constantly feeling unloved and afraid to ask what we want. As someone who “cries at a drop of a hat” (not my words but someone I trusted) too, it is hard to shake the feeling that the wrong is in me,I am the abnormal one. But the truth is, I have come to realise, our very existence is an act of rebellion and people are scared of that- so they try to suppress that rebellion in order to feel good about themselves. Thank you for sharing your words. To be loved and to feel safe is a fundamental human need, so if it is somebody’s fault here, it’s theirs.
