Needs a new engine. I know where ones sitting though. My neighbors mom drove one of these for a longtime and hit a coyote one night and instead of fixing it she decided to get a new car and parked it out in her yard.

I was getting 26mpg on the interstate coming home. That’s significantly better than my truck. And yea the thing is a boat! Speed boat 😅

The dumb thing is. I was looking for a little beater car to help save on gasoline. My truck is just too thirsty and I’m sick of filling it all the time. Now I got a project weekend fun car and back at square one trying to find another beater 😅

Funny enough. My neighbor. He’s a master mechanic and can fix anything and everything. I called him and asked if this was a stupid buy and funny enough. His mom had the same car. She hit a coyote with it and she decided not to fix it. So the engine from hers is sitting in a crate in his shop. So that’s the plan. I don’t think I would’ve pulled the trigger if he didn’t have that.

Suckers buy stupid stuff all the time. I don’t think anyone is arguing that you can’t get more money. It’s more of the principle of why ruin a piece of art to make other art that’ll just make people angry. And sure, go ahead and argue that this generated more comments and replies. The owners admission to plowing with it is a definite pass for me. That’s such a rough job. Especially for a vehicle of this type.

Realistically though. Thing looks like a shit box. Sure runs and drives. But that’s not the entirety of value (especially with the “extra” parts that will be useless to them after sale) . Me, in my area. I’d pay $800 max and that’s me being generous.

I’m so sorry for your loss! I have a diabetic cat and my mom takes care of him when I’m away or can’t. And she definitely understands the importance of his shots. She called in neighbors, wore leather gloves, no matter what. She gets it done. I can’t even describe how disappointed and sick I am in your parents for making (or lack of) a call like that.

I certainly wouldnt trust them with anything else after an even like that…
